    BSR – plasticrap
    Sony PS-1100
Ariston RD-40 with Sumiko MMT arm and, briefly, a Magnepan Unipivot arm.
    AR-XA
Linn Sondek – I bought this as a part of an entire collection. I sold it immediately as my intent was to keep the tasty Marantz 8b and do so before my wife noticed the big hole in the checking account. I wish I’d kept it.
Thorens TD-124 – My daughter wrested this out of my hands many years ago.
Rega Planar 25 – My son wrested this out of my hands a couple of years ago so I feel like it’s still in the family.
    Linn Axis
    Michell Gyro SE

    Yes, I know I have a problem.

Trust me, you don't have a problem, other than maybe letting your kids have really nice decks.:righton:

    Thorens td 166mkv
    Luxman pd 272
    Thorens td 320
    Marantz tt15-s1
I currently use Thorens td 320 and Marantz tt15-s1
Seldom I give a spin to the 166mkv because I find this Thorens is more neutral than the td 320, probably due to the absence of an electronic device in it.
And I sometimes use the Luxman too, when I want to listen to the at 120 which is mounted on it

Technics SL-1900 (2) Still have them
    Pioneer PL-A45d Heavy & solid

First TT I bought with my paper route money around 1965. It was a Sears fold down with 2 speakers.
    Followed by:
Noresco amp with a Dual 12?? on top
    Dual 1219
    Dual 1229
    Dual 701
    Rega 3
Linn LP12 which I still use bought new in 1995. Serviced and upgraded a couple of times.

I remember my first tables were (I think) a BIC 980 and ADC 1700, though those model numbers may be wrong. I had a group of friends and we exchanged a lot of stuff, so quite a few tables made the rounds, and memories are hazy, but those were the first ones I bought with my own money. I was also a young engineer in the works, so eventually scavenged parts from the ADC for a couple of my own designs that were pretty cool.

I then got one of those fancy aluminum clamshell linear tracking Technics SL-10 tables for a compact system because I was moving around a lot after school. It was fun for a while, and still would be on occasion, but didn't give me quite the high end sound I was after.

Then got a Thorens TD 320 and used that for a few years, but was never too happy with it in stock form. Drove it mainly with a series of Shure V15 cartridges. I wanted to move up to better moving coil cartridges, but the tonearm just wasn't good enough, so I rebuilt it, and continued to modify the rest of the table by removing the suspension and upgrading the motor drive board and power supply, and got a Benz Glider MC cartridge, man did it sound good. Still have it and it's a really solid table, with the two phase motor drive and power supply moved to a separate enclosure, with a much heavier platter, high mass and well damped tonearm, and the two separate plinth sections separately spiked to a thick base, makes for a very quiet table.

And I've accumulated a couple Micro Seiki direct drives from the 70s, really like many of their designs, currently have a DD-10 and a DD-40.

And my main table is currently a Clearaudio Avantgarde, with Benz Micro Wood SL, though the cabinet top is shared with the Micro Seiki DD-40, so it gets a lot of time on it too, kind of a new mixed with old look, on the left the the clear acrylic and aluminum sandwich plinth on the Clearaudio with it's straight rigid carbon fibre tonearm and magnetic platter bering, and on the right the vintage rosewood-wrapped plywood and MDF plinth on the Micro Seiki with a very nicely designed aluminum S-shaped tonearm. Love em both...

A Classic is a bit of a jump from a P1! Great choice and one of those turntables you never hear a bad word about.

I wanted to avoid the upgrade--itis by spending a lot more, once. It worked - haven't felt the need to swap the table some and it's going on 10yrs old now.

Well... I've owned more than I can remember. There are four that have served as my primary turntable over the past 40 years.

    Technics sl-1900 (1978) my 1st real TT
Technics SL-7 (1983) Linear Tracker - still have and it plays fine
    Rega P1 (2012)
Rega RP6 (2016) my current TT

I mounted a moving coil in all but the SL-7.
