1997 is one of my favorite years for pop music, I'll leave out a bunch of my favorites to get it down to 15, all records I still listen to, some more than others, some pretty often ...

    Björk - Homogenic
Bob Dylan - Time Out Of Mind
Built To Spill - Perfect From Now On
Edith Frost - Calling Over Time
Laika - Sounds of the Satellites
Michael Head & The Strands - The Magical World of The Strands
Modest Mouse - The Lonesome Crowded West
    OP8 - Slush
Paul K & the Weathermen - Love Is A Gas
Red Red Meat - There's A Star Above The Manger Tonight
Richard Buckner - Devotion + Doubt
    Sixteen Horsepower - Low Estate
Spiritualized - Ladies And Gentlemen We Are Floating In Space

Not a lot going on for me that year, but there are a couple of gems:

    1. Bruce Dickinson - Accident of Birth (almost flawless)
    2. In Flames - Whoracle (so bloody good)
    3. Deftones - Around the Fur (My favourite of theirs back then, and still almost their best one)
    4. Radiohead - Ok Computer (though I'm sick of the band by now)
    5. Metallica - Reload (half the album is excellent)
    6. Prodigy - Fat of the Land (though purely for nostalgia's sake)

Bob Dylan - Time Out of Mind should probably have been on that list, but during the years I was obsessed with him, I never properly listened to this album somehow, and by now I'm into other things, so...too late!

I can't believe this is the only year during the 90's Spitz didn't release an album or an EP! Otherwise I'm sure they would've been on the list.
