the first four disc's could be his 3 solo albums and his first live album and the last could be filled with demo's and songs that became bonus tracks like Danielle and Oh Brother Keep the Pigeons Warm

I'd like a Scorpions Box set of... Lovedrive-Animal Magnetism-Blackout-Love At First Sting-Worldwide Live

Also... A Joe Lynn Turner-era Rainbow box set. He only did three studio albums so it might have to be something like... Difficult To Cure-Straight Between The Eyes-Bent Out Of Shape-an appropriate live set- and a disc of B-sides, remixes, odds and sods.

A Tony Martin-era Black Sabbath box set... The Eternal Idol-Headless Cross-Tyr-Cross Purposes-Forbidden, or, since The Eternal Idol has already been released a Deluxe Edition... Headless Cross-Tyr-Cross Purposes-Cross Purposes Live-Forbidden. Each with the associated single B-sides etc added to each disc.

And a Blue Oyster Cult box studio albums box set. The cheap 5 disc Classic Albums box set includes two live albums.

That's because artists have noticed that they can group albums together in similar packaging (usually clamshell box) and charge slightly more money.

Was there ever any of those issued for The Girl Groups?

I could go for 5 albums by The Shangri-las, or The Angels, etc.:)

    Kraftwerk - The Early Years:

    Tone Float (Organisation)
    Kraftwerk 1
    Kraftwerk 2
    Ralf & Florian
    BONUS -
not quite "original" but I'd love a rarities disc of vintage live performances, unique single mixes, and other unreleased vault material

Given their history, this is pretty far-fetched, but it would be weirdly ironic if these long OOP and now hideously overpriced albums suddenly appeared in a budget type set. Of course, that is just the kind of humor I think Florian Schneider (miss 'ya, man!) would have approved of.

I have the Little Feat and 2 of the Lou Reed issues.

I would like the other Lou one that I don't have (the one that starts with the Blue Mask) , but it seems more rare and expensive.

I'm not interested in offcuts, bonus tracks and rarities, so the format suits me fine.

    I'd like to see:
    Peter Hammill 70s Lps
    VDGG up to Vital
Talk Talk, their discography amounts to 5 albums, so ideal.
    Ry Cooder

    And many others.

Hound Dog Taylor - his five records would be a perfect collection. Not a dud in the bunch. Slide in the 1998 tribute disc as a bonus
Hound Dog Taylor and the Houserockers [Alligator, 1971]
    Natural Boogie [Alligator, 1974]
Beware of the Dog [Alligator, 1976]
    Genuine Houserocking Music [Alligator, 1982]
    Release the Hound [Alligator, 2004]

c-eling They're made of light,We never would have guessed

Since these all are sourced/manufactured in Europe, could be licensing issues/labels already going through remaster campaigns etc...
Few of these bands I've seen 'wanted' I wouldn't go near as they use the latest available remasters ie Sony's OAC Journey :hurl:

Depeche Mode will never happen in their lifetime. They're definitely a band that know the importance of money in the phrase value-for-money.

Most of the bands/acts in these collections are ones which are mid-level at their biggest, and have a slow-shifting back catalogue. These sets seem to exist to tempt people who still haven't moved to CD, or who aren't prepared to spend much to get most of the bands work, or who have fallen out of critical favour. Not the general profile of bands mentioned here, I think.
