Although he did refer to himself as "a song and dance" man in an interview long ago. :)

Seriously though, he can be somewhat unclear during performances (I'm thinking of a TV appearance in '91 when he did I think "Masters of War" and the song was unrecognizable to me until I caught some of the lyrics) and even incoherent during short interviews. But then again Bob's always tended to play the media almost as well as he plays music. One of the great rock'n'rollers, needless to say.

Perhaps not, but he can folk-rap. Listen to Subterranean Homesick Blues. :D

I agree with Michael that Bob Dylan's singing is perfect for the type of material he sings and writes and they do lead to great covers.

Except to musical subgenres and many folk/rock artists.

Uh-uh; no Elvis, no rocking Dylan... ;) Folk Dylan, yep but Bob and The Hawks flipping the on switch wouldn't have happened...

...he can't keep his eyes open while sneezing. Aside from that, Zimmy can do just about anything! I recently finished reading "Chronicles Volume 1" and thoroughly enjoyed it. Bring in Volume 2! :righton:

From what I understand he can't care. He used to, but things have changed.

  20. Despite what he says, he could not have written "Satisfaction".

I'm sure he will master time travel soon, though. Don't be surprised if skips the motorcycle ride second time around.

Renaldo and Clara isn't supposed to be comprehensible. It's supposed to affect you on a very weird level. Based on my experience seeing the original cut of the film in a large theater, and the effect it had on most of the audience, I'd have to say the film was very successful at that. When the film was over, most of the people walking out (myself included) seemed to be in a somewhat altered state of conciousness (a kind of a speeded-up daze) and people were wandering around the lobby talking about how they felt like the movie was still going on, and that they were inside of the movie somehow. Kind of an acid trip without the acid.

The only other film I've ever seen have such a profound effect on the audience was Koyanisquatsi. In THAT audience, when the film was over most of the people were saying they felt like they had been drugged, and that everything seemed like it was moving in slow motion.

These are the ONLY two films I've ever seen where people seemed hesitant to leave when the film was over, and seemed to feel some kind of compelling need to try to talk to strangers walking out of the theater to find out if others had been hit as hard as they had, or if it was just THEM.

    I haven't seen Masked and Anonymous. :)
