What cartridge for Technics sl-1200mkII?

    Anyway, I betcha the Zu guys ended up with their design by starting along the same road. The plastic body on the '103 is the only obvious negative, nuding (or using the wood bodies that are popular on AA) clean that right up. I'd be interested in hearing/reading about the differences between the wood body and the Zu, but I'm lazy (and clumsy), so I'll probably just let Zu take care of it for me when the time is right. :angel: I spoke with the Zu folks a while ago and they told me they will do the same work on a DL-103R, for another $100 (IIRC). Not sure if that is still the case, though.

    VA...I haven't spent any time with those Clearaudio's, alas. Wouldn't be surprised if there is a bit of A-T DNA floating around in there given their past history together, though I don't doubt the wood body makes for a positive sonic imprint in the right setup.

    For dance music dj's like myself, the Ortofon Gold is a great cartridge to use for what I do.

    They use one of these on a 1210 at WCBS-FM, in NYC.
