Holy crapolla! Hmmm, gotta wonder how much better this one will sound with that OBI touching your player, facing North of course, at the same time? :D

    Could it be $2000.?

isn't this the same seller that had his CD's removed by ebay a while back as all his rare Floyd looked like Photo-shop specials?

Is anyone else bothered by how clean that OBI is? What bothers me is that the OBI is clean and yet it looks like a later jewel case. If someone kept the OBI that clean you'd think that the original case would have been intact as well. Maybe I'm just too suspicious of things like this?

A couple of people on here are waiting for:

    a) considerably better quality photos,

    b) an explanation as to why payment is by wire transfer within 3 days

    c) an explanation as to why (despite three separate requests) a photo of the inner matrix ring has not been posted

    d) Information as to how the seller came by this particular copy.

    e) Why the Hako Obi cannot be photographed from the side.

    f) Why the case has been replaced.

    g) Why the matrix info doesn't appear in Vernon's database.

    h) Why the Hako Obi looks very very good for something printed 26 years ago?

It could be a lot of money to lose unless some of things are answered.

Hmmm, one day left, 1060 Euro bid. Reserve still not met.

Wow, the guy has balls, I'll say that at least.

I think the reserve is a tactic. Have to believe that the high bidder will get an offer.

If it gets to $2000, and you want it that much, you might as well spring for the ticket to Italy and go inspect it yourself before paying. If it turns out to be a counterfeit, at least you'll get a nice vacation out of it.

Not to thread crap or anything, but you would be surprised at the number of requests I got for my recent auctions, requesting scans of obis. At first I obliged, then found it a little fishy that none of the requesters actually ended up bidding on any of my CDs. I then discovered that there are a lot of people out there that are making copies of obis; hence, the request for scans. I'm not saying that this guy is selling a CD with a fake obi, but the increase of people making copies may be why he is reluctant to provide full pictures. As it happens, I no longer supply scans or photographs of obis. Just my two cents...:)

A public service, in your case, since we all know that you are legit. But doesn't explain why he can't provide a photo of the hub matrix.

This auction does seem very suspiscious.

If I was in the market to spend $2000+ on an OBI, I would be wanting some pretty solid evidence that the auction was legit and the seller could be trusted.
