I bought some CDs on ebay about 3 weeks ago. The seller and I are in the same state, so it should not have taken a long time for the discs to arrive. He's in Buffalo, and I'm in NYC. After over 2 weeks went by since I paid for my discs, I still didn't receive anything, so I contacted the seller. Communication wasn't the best to say the least, but nevertheless, I asked for a tracking number, and he eventually provided me with one. I go to track it, only to discover that the titles were just shipped on Wednesday! 2 days ago. So the guy didn't ship out my discs for basically 3 weeks, and only shipped them after I contacted him. The thing is that he offered no explanation why 3 weeks went by without mailing my discs. No reason, no emergency, no sickness, hell, not even saying he forgot. Nada. This was a fairly large transaction (over $400), so it wasn't like some $3 CD that would slip your mind.

I'm scheduled to receive the discs today in the mail, and if they are fine, then great. What kind of feedback should I leave for him? I'm certainly not leaving positives. I want to know what the concensus here is. I'm leaning towards leaving him neutral feedback.

I think neutral is appropriate with a brief explanation in his feedback.

I would leave negative, he waited way too long to ship. Should not be selling things imo if he doesn't have time to ship them.

Neutral: Discs were sent after third week reminder. People will know what to think when they read it.

I'm going with the consensus here, if the discs are fine: neutral, with an explanation.

If he had given you a BS line about a family emergency or a last minute business tripe etc I'd say to give him the positive feedback if the discs arrive in described shape..but since he couldn't even come up with an excuse...neutral feedback is the way to go.

Assuming the discs are okay, I always leave no feedback in these cases. Maybe the guy had some real s**t to deal with, or maybe he just forgot. Whatever. Bygones.

A negative just for slow shipment is uncalled for, in my opinion.
I reserve negatives for no item or item not as described with refusal to issue refund, or refusal to sell an item after committing to do.

Yes, he did eventually do the right thing, although it took a nudge to get there. I would save the negative ratings for the dishonest and irresponsible stuff.

    I'd say negative.

No excuse for that kind of shipping.
