He's been at it for so long.

Sgt. Pepper's? His family life? His longevity?

What do you think it is?

Getting suckers like me to part with £600 for the Flaming Pie Super Deluxe - that's got to be a contender.

    His songwriting.
After Paul and you and me have passed from the Earth, it is the songs, both written solo and and especially those written with John, that will be remembered.

    Other notable achievements:

    Being correct about Allen Klein.
Singing the Ahh's on "A Day In The Life".
Taking the hit in Japan 1980, although it was all of Linda's stash.
Chewing carrots and/or celery on the Beach Boys' "Vegetables".

No seriously, it's the magnificent and timeless discography of music that he has created, filled with messages of peace, love and understanding,
which has gone out into the world and has resonated with entire generations of human beings.

His ability to sustain a music career for well over 60 years.

He has had remarkable relationships with other musicians, some the most memorable and noteworthy of ANYONE'S career, but he is a guy that has managed to remain in music for his entire adult life. And the work - on the whole - has been very good.
