Not to digress but, having listened to ADITL for the 9 millionth time the other day, something occurred to me and my ears..could John be singing each first half of the "ahh's" which is the descending melody with Paul taking the second half on the ascending notes?

Musically, I'm going to say side II of Abbey Road. (Yes, I realize that the other's had some songs sprinkled throughout side II as well)

My favorite side of arguably my favorite album.

McCartney's greatest achievement is having so many great achievements, more than any other artist, like this one...

Young musicians seem to love the McCartney album and especially RAM, the influence those two records have had fifty years later are one of his accomplishments.

Setting aside his artistry and unfathomable melodic songcraft that has made the world a better place, I am going to say that Paul's greatest achievement is the family he and Linda created and nurtured. Paul and Linda's love story alone is a towering achievement when you consider everything that would have leveled a less-grounded couple.

Obviously for being one of the two Main Beatles.

Paul McCartney to me is an enigma. I absolutely love nearly everything he did in The Beatles. But try as I may (and I have tried) I have never liked anything he has done since his first McCartney album which I really liked.
I haven't cared for anything since and I really didn't like Wings.

As I say, a total enigma.

Not just Americans, the man is absolutely loved around the world!
Your comment is a total enigma?! It's the same man that was a Beatle, the same writer with the same musical abilities. Maybe it's you who is the enigma? Think about it, you don't like one single thing he's done since the McCartney album?! In all these decades, that's not McCartney, that's you!
I don't mean it in a bad way, but it does seem you have to take a look at yourself.
