Maybe a behind the comma rounding difference caused by the insertion of a small segment of silence due to slightly different index points. Try comparing the TOCs with EAC or CUETools.
Probably zero influence on the actual audio.

    Interestingly your Brazilian (88/90) 1990 pressing differs from the one entered on the DR Database;
Album details - Dynamic Range Database

The Database entry matches the UK Nimbus and chart tagged PDO

This is the Discogs link with Matrix info, taken from the DR submission

This seems to be a 0.40 dB level shift of the pink mastering...

I have 6 different The Joshua Tree Brazilian CDs here (all of them before the remaster came out). I'll rip them again now just to be sure.

That would probably be the reason having access to so many editions in Brazil. :)

Yes, I'm doing the rips again and I realized I've made a mistake (the 2nd one does look like the Nimbus), when I finish the 6, I'll bring the results

I could get 5 of them to work (the last one stops at 29% at CUETools and gives an error, so I can't proceed). My 2nd pressing CD is in really bad shape, so the rip was not the best, specially in the last song. Logs, accurips, dr, scans (for the discs not on Discogs), I put everything in the Drive folder

I compared the pink P35D-20034 with the pink 258 219/CID U26 Sonopress. When doing a null test the Sonopress 'Mothers of the Disappeared' doesn't line up like the other tracks and it has an extra fade on the end of track fade applied, resulting in a track 2 seconds shorter.

Correct, I must have not noticed that before.

I think the original U.S. CD sounds great, but be forewarned. There is a major tracking screw up on the track One Tree Hill. The ending of One Tree Hill is indexed as "Exit" It may not bother you if you're just going to listen to the CD all the way through, but it really is a major mistake.

That isn’t on the original pressings.

    US SRC-01 Indexed correctly (Pink)
US PMDC IFPI Incorrect- uses the US PDO/WG Polygram mastering (Light blue)

    A variant of the light blue mastering 7 90581-2: 97,0 / 94,9 / 99,9 / 80,3 / 80,3 / 86,0 / 87,5 / 76,5 / 99,4 / 86,2 / 56,6

This one seems to be preferable to my more common RE-1 light blue mastering because, like the pink, it doesn't have fade-ups at the start of tracks 2, 5 and 11, no extra fades on the fades and the tape hiss between the tracks isn't edited out.

Between pink and light blue track 6-11 stay in digital sync. Track 1-5 do not.

Have you compared these yet? The pink one is the one I have on my shelf as my preferred version. I know that some people here whose ears I trust also prefer the pink one.

I'll give em a go tomorrow after work George. Three years ago it looks like I preferred the light blue. I've since changed players, amp etc.. so a fresh take is due :)

Huh, went with the light blue again. I revisited the remaster again along with it. I had some issues with the bass sounding like 'mush' for some reason with it.
Some of the instruments on the light blue seem to be pushed up a bit. I used One Tree Hill as the test track. I have no problems with indexing issues/fades out's etc.. I don't visit this album often enough to care

Needle in a haystack? Extra information: this deviation of light blue has a correctly indexed 'One Tree Hill'.

Stephen J, in post 260, said that he had an early 1987 PDO pressing with correct "One Tree Hill" indexing. He also said, in post 273, that he had the standard light blue peaks. So, there appears to be PDO pressings with correct indexing and the light blue peaks.

I browsed Discogs for possible catalog 7 90581-2 candidates which haven't been mentioned in this thread, unless I missed them.

    How about:

Sanyo USA longbox: U2 - The Joshua Tree
Disctronics USA longbox: U2 - The Joshua Tree
BMG Direct club: U2 - The Joshua Tree

Sometimes, the disc doesn't match the artwork, though. I don't see 7 90581 printed on that BMG disc.

It’s on the spine. Oddly the disc is from after PolyGram bought Island but the tray is from when they were still distributed by Atco.
