    I have a new computer.

its Windows 10, not really my favorite -

what is the best, or a really good, simple, no hassle CD ripper to extract audio?

Depends on the user. There are many settings as a pro tool but there are also tutorials on net. Their online database give the certitude that the CD rip is very accurate on every bit. The CRC file verification and comparison against their huge database. Plus automatic importing the audio files info.

Used EAC for years and still occasionally but now in the dBPoweramp camp. Both great programs. Bear in mind that if you have a bunch of CDs with pre-emphasis, they might need to be decoded manually after ripping. I use the Sox and IIRR Foobar components for that purpose.
