No longer in my collection, because I sold it: Elman Recital - Mischa Elman I can't recall what I got for it, but it went to someone in Japan.
Not 100% sure the "S+V" box was precisely $350, but it was around that. $350's stuck in my head, but's been 30 years, so there's some +/- there. You won it free? Wow - good for you! I still can't believe I actually bought one. I was still in college 30 years ago, so $350 to me then was literally like $3500 to me now. I was such a Bowie hound that I just "had to" have it, luxury item though it was. And I was so jazzed to own "S+V" that I bought the standard version too! The signed box came out like 2 months later, and I just couldn't bear to wait!
Speaking of Bowie, wasn't there a boxed set of all his Ryko CDs as 24k gold editions? That's gotta be worth some big coin. -s1m0n-
Well, looking at sleeves keeps them from being in "mint condition"? Are you Scott Summers??? Serious answer: The term "mint condition" is not only overused, it's also frequently used wrong. If I'm buying a record, I buy it to play and listen to it. And as soon as the seal is broken the record won't be truly mint anyway. Playing an album on quality equipment won't damage it btw. And I never dropped a record. Another thing: Records are not golden coins. What's valuable today could generate zero interest tomorrow. Mint condition or not. So play and handle your vinyl with care. But enjoy it.
Rare and valuable to me but probably not in the truest sense of the word: See my avatar. Original pressing of the Dylan bootleg Ten of Swords. Paid $69.95 when it came out. Elvis - Sun 217- "Baby Let's Play House/I'm Left, You're Right, She's Gone." Not in the best of shape - bought at a sale with a bunch of 45s years ago. Dylan "Subterranean Homesick Blues" wl promo on red vinyl. Lee & The Leopards - "Come to My Palace" wl promo. First record on Gordy label. Miracles "Got a Job" on End.
I have a UK BBC Transcription Disc in original bag from September of 1968. Amongst other acts it features 2 cuts from the first Jeff Beck Group! Valuable to me emotionally.
prince love symbol stones voodoo and bridges but my gf's original pistols lp is more valuable any more valuable than this level I'd be scared to play!
IIRC - and I might not - there was a record club box that included all 8 Au20s. And it does go for good money! Which seems kinda silly because I think it's just the standard Au20s in a box. I don't believe there's anything unique other than the packaging...

Probably a still sealed 1967 US LP on Tower Records of Pink Floyd's The Piper at the Gates of Dawn in Mono. Found it for $20 in a record store bin in 1990.
Off the top of my head, the Ratt EP on CD, which fetches over $120 last time I checked a few months ago. Apparently quite rare on CD.
1966 Mispress if Beatles - Revolver. Mono on side one, Stereo on side two. Rare enough that it is not on Discogs. I have a couple of original Danish Beatles singles too. Not sure they could be called rare?
Marcus Hook Roll Band -- Tales of Old Grand Daddy LP. I got the original Australian pressing mint for $45USD in 2004. During the last few years, I've seen copies online going for $500 to over $1,000USD.
Great minds... I had a Blue but went to the Bronze, which I like better. More definition, punchier. Better yet, there’s a well-worn used record store in Tacoma whose owner fixes old turntables.
According to Discogs my top 10 rare singles are: Thin Lizzy New Day English Pressing Thin Lizzy New Day Irish Pressing Judas Priest – Deceiver Japanese Pressing Larry Lurex - I Can Hear Music & I Can Her Music German Pressing Freddie White - Silas Rat Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody Purple Vinyl Fan Club Issue Queen - Man On The Prowl Irish Pressing Queen - The Seven Seas Of Rhye Japanese Motörhead - Ace Of Spades Spanish Pomo Queen - The Show Must Go On Italian Red Vinyl Fab Club Issue I find this misleading because what I consider to be rare and most sought after from my own collection and by other collectors isn’t truly represented in this top 10. The one most sought after by Thin Lizzy fans is The Farmer and that is only at 40th place on Discogs, But on Popsike it’s still number 1 in terms of value compared to the rest of the singles in my collection.
Actually, I thought of another cool one. It belongs to my brother, but he has a sealed original copy of ziggy stardust (that he paid 5$ for at a flea market). He kept it sealed because he already has another play copy of the album (its also an original, picked up for 7$ at a different flea market, but is in flawless condition.)
Probably my rarest records; Weyes Blood - signed testpress of "Front Row Seat to Earth", only 10 made Smoosh - "Withershins" cd, only 50 made...got it for $25 + shipping 15 in 2018, would have paid $200 since I've been looking for it in vain since it was releleased in 2010 Sharon Van Etten - "Home Recordings" self-released cd, probably sold at gigs by Ms. Etten before she got a record-deal Jane Weaver - "The Architect" promo 12", numbered 9 of 10, bought at Finders Keepers stall at the Utrecht record fair Value....I really don't care, I'm a fan of all the artists'
