Really? I thought they were both Joel Schumacher films.

  3. He wrote the screenplay for The Wiz and directed B&R.

City of Angels. I watched it in the theater when it came out because I enjoyed the original Wim
Wenders version. I still get flash backs till this day of the dreadful yet comical Meg Ryan ending and I swallow a bit of my own vomit.

I have learned a valuable lesson on this thread. Don't post about something you really know about, have lived through, and feel very strongly about based on your most personal experiences, unless you have a thick skin, because there are any number of people who know absolutely nothing about what you are talking about, who will ridicule you.

Because you connected something COMPLETELY UNRELATED and tried to guilt-trip everyone who enjoys Eraserhead.

Someone has an intentionally unrealistic lizard-headed baby in a horror movie, and you immediately take that as "attacking the disabled". Even David Lynch would find that completely ridiculous.

Nope. At least now I don't feel as stupid for not getting the joke - I thought there was some reference that escaped me!

Schumacher hadn't started to direct feature films circa 1978 - "The Wiz" was all Lumet! :D

I'm a huge Argento fan too, but his take on Dracula was definitely *not* worth the wait. Just awful.

I thought the screenplay was kinda nutty in a good way, and the sets were nice. A few bad CG moments were disruptive. All-in-all, it was so determined to do what it was doing that I mostly slipped into feeling like I was a kid watching a much older film.
