That's my first thought, really dreadful and actually comical seeing good actors acting so dramatic during such ridiculous scenes.

    A tie:

    Myra Breckinridge (Raquel Welch)
    C.C. & Co. (Joe Namath)

These movies were el stinko big time.

  5. Films I really, really hated?

    The 'Burbs
Joe Vs. The Volcano (probably my vote for worst ever)
    The Never Ending Story

Employee Of The Month (Matt Dillon) is really irritating, but I like it in spots nevertheless
Hard Candy (Ellen Page) is a real squirmfest.
The Shape Of Things (Rachel Weisz) is pretty sick too.

It's funny that you group some well-documented "turkeys" along with what many consider to be the best film of all time. I don't subscribe to that opinion either - Citizen Kane is DULL, DULL, DULL!

I'd put Hot Rod above that, but I knew that was going to be dumb when I walked in there. I hadn't counted on it also being stupid, mean-spirited, and irritating as well when I finally walked out. Whereas everyone I talked to couldn't believe that I actually walked out on MTP.

In recent years (in the theatre) "Closer". What a piece of crap!

"Natural Born Killers" was up there too.

Must have been a strange twist of fate:D

I just watched this on Laserdisc about 2 weeks ago, First time in over 15 years. I can't remember what I liked about it other then the music. Still doesn't hold a candle to

    The LADIES MAN or AVP2

HARD CANDY was a squirmfest, but everyone I know loved it and thought it was Amazing.

I'm surprised MEMENTO is getting as many mentions, I give it a 10 on every level.

The Phantom Menace. That one was it for me; I have never seen the two Star Wars films that followed, and I never will.

I've never seen this but the kids love it. It usually sells in about 4 days when our stores see a copy. We can't say that about too many other movies.

  15. Vantage Point is the first one that comes to mind.

I must confess that all the Star Wars films leave me cold. Call me old-fashioned but I have always felt the target age to be under 10 and fail to see what an adult could get out of them (aside from Pricess whats-her-name of course).

Same. Saw the first one in the summer of '77 to see what the fuss was about, and that was plenty for me.

Wow. There's a lot of films listed here that I'm desperately wishing I'll get a chance to re-buy yet again on Blu-Ray. Hopefully soon.

My vote goes to 'Myra Breckenridge', though.

Same here. I saw the first film a good two years after it was released to see why it had become the biggest grossing film of all time, and my reaction was a big "meh". I only saw the second, third and fourth films because some friends of mine kept dragging me to them. I do like the experience of watching a lightweight movie with people whose company I enjoy, but if it had been entirely up to me I probably would have stopped right after the first Star Wars.

This is one film that I can completely understand someone hating. Although, I do like it.

I have to take issue with "Natural Born Killers" the way Stone mixed 8MM, 16MM, 35MM, & video was groundbreaking and fantastic I thought-the ending got to be a bit much and the violent satire is not everyone's cup of tea, but I thought it was great.

    My dislikes-
Every other Coen Bros. movie (Hudsucker Proxy and O Brother, the latter I actually walked out of-I know, people love it for some weird reason).

Any Kevin Smith movie I have seen except "Dogma"

Spike Lee's "Bamboozled" (which was oddly fascinating because it was so misguided and bizarre).

"The Aviator"-Scorcese stinker with Leo DiCaprio looking like a "Bugsy Malone" reject

"Cape Fear" remake-De Niro chewing up the scenery-ridiculous.

"Psycho" remake-the all-time, hands down, worst movie I have ever seen in a theater-but I couldn't take my eyes off the screen, it was so terrible, miscast and misbegotten.
