Old 97's "Jesus Loves You" and Roger Waters "The Last Refugee". And Rickie Lee Jones' "Jimmy Choos". These are my right in the moment favorites.

This song hit me in the car tonight and I couldn't get enough of it...

    He whispered in his ear
He told him what he wants to hear
But this poor boy, he may stay strong
He had his own concerns, but he fell apart from words
    God those reckless words

Here in the crops of the Garden of Eden, you're the fool

    Iv'e been looking for you
    You've gone far away
Now the light in my eyes start to dissipate
When I knock on your gates
    Would you let me in
I just want to stay for a bit

Bless your silly son for all his wicked ways
He has got the world on a string
But his heart is out of place
I have watched men go back to their old ways, their old ways

Here in the crops of the Garden of Eden, you're the fool

    I should of asked someone
    Instead I blamed God
    I blame you

Just got into her recently, always was aware of her through the album she did with David Byrne and her SNL performance from 2014, but I've listened to St. Vincent's "Hang On Me" nonstop since it came out Friday. The rest of the new album, not so much, but I can't help hitting the replay on that track.

This is one reason the Fall are better than the other bands you might be tempted to say are better than the Fall:

Radio 2's Simon Mayo has been playing this fairly often recently. I'm a bit smitten with it. I'd no idea who it was. Had to look it up. Best single of the year so far I reckon; Noel Gallagher's 'Holy Mountain'. All sorts of great stuff in there. Very Glam (the saxes), a bit of Ten Pole Tudor, a smidge of Ian Hunter, a dash of Adam Ant.... a right old mish-mash but very infectious. Even get a bit of 50s "Ooooeeeeooooo"s in there too. Top-notch song.
