The Bee Gees - Love You Inside Out
Tim Buckley - Buzzin Fly
Roxette - Silver Blue
God Only Knows
And another great one that's just occurred to me:
The Righteous Brothers - (You're My) Soul and Inspiration
Bobby Vinton ''Mr Lonely''
Sinéad O'Connor ''Nothing Compares 2 U ''
That's a beautiful 1 I haven't heard for ages. Thank you very much for sharing.
Robert Palmer - Addicted To Love
I love that 1 too. Thank you very much for sharing.
Tim nails it:
The Nearness of You...especially this version:
I dare you not to cry.
Chuck Prophet - No Other Love
Gorgeous song off his 2002 album of the same name. Only 12 words make up the lyrics, but he does not need more to express how he feels.
Wait, wait...two more from Amalia:
Dammit, I can’t decide.
Are you crying yet?
This is another 1 of my favourites.
I would say mine is AGAINST ALL ODDS by Phil Collins
I am so happy he did that in 100% analogue!! - I have a 45 of it and its goregous sounding.....
I would assume this has been mentioned several times.
"In My Life" - The Beatles
Calico Skies (Paul McCartney)
First Day Of My Life (Bright Eyes)
Alabama Rain (Jim Croce)
We've Only Just Begun (Carpenters)
Just to be pedantic.
When we're talking 'love Songs', are we talking about the good side only, or are we also talking about the negative side too? The bitterness and vitriol?
where would one begin!? need more like a top 20 list.
When we're talking about love songs, we're talking about all love songs & a lot of love songs in my collections are about breaking up or loving someone who doesn't love you back.
