This one for me...love it, with poster, and two postcards. One with the parody John pulling on a pigs ears, and the Pan allegory scene.

With a glossy plastic coated cover:

    and BOTH rare insert postcards:

The Indochine album is very nice. Even though I suspect the reissue might have knocked the original's price down a bit. I was shocked to learn what "Les Versions Longues" goes for.

U2 just are about to rerelease their 90's records.

I've no idea what this is worth. I bought it as a teenager I think in 1960 from Harrods record department in Knightsbridge. Probably one of the first copies imported from the USA.

The three UD1S MoFi albums are the most valuable things I own, but after that it's the Johnny Smith Mosaic box. I got it as a present from a friend who had retired and was clearing out his house. I didn't realize it at the time, but it goes for $200 nowadays.

My most valuable single LP is, to my surprise, the 2011 clear vinyl reissue of the Monkees Head. Apparantly there were only 500 made, which explains why they are going for $125.

Maybe my 180gm Royal Ballet Gala box set (2 disc 33). I have a special 45 rpm 180gm test pressing box (8 disc in plain white box, with RTI stickers) of the same title I won when I bought 5 copies of the standard issue mentioned. Not sure what it’s worth.

Probably the Paul Smith signed red vinyl copy of Bowie’s The Next Day. Runners up: the Beatles’ Christmas album, Let It Be Box set, Wildflowers vinyl. I guess if I slipped my Harrison on White Album autograph back into the sleeve that might win.

I always say... the person who will pay that kind of money is as rare as the record.

The stereo version of Meet the Beatles with no publishing credits on the label is actually much rarer than the mono. If you have a NM- stereo, that’s a good one!

It's really hard to say because some of my most prized stuff has no record of having ever been sold at auction (I know what I paid, of course).

One that I know has sold for huge money in strong condition (like my copy) is the Musart 3-disc Beatles set. It was issued in 1964 (I've seen estimates that 300 to 500 of them were made for the Christmas season), and was the only legal multi-disc Beatles set released anywhere in the world before the White Album.

I bought a sealed mono with the bumper sticker showing for $5 back in the 80's. The story doesn't end well. I turned around and sold it for $10.

    Regrets, I've had a few.

Mine would be a recent purchase from 2013. I got the Bowie "Heathen" V&A coloured vinyl release, paid £20 for it and saw it sell out online within the hour. When it comes up for sale it's usually around the £350 mark - I have 106/500.

Most valuable ? Several vintage Jazz titles. All first pressings. All VG+ to NM condition

Off the top of my head:

    Blue Note
    Hank Mobley Soul Station
    Kenny Burrell- Midnight Blue Vol-1
    Clifford Brown Memorial Album
    Ike Quebec Soul Samba

    Prestige
    Rollins Plays for Bird
    Sonny Rollins +4
Miles Davis- Workin Steamin Relaxin Blue Haze Bags Groove New Miles Davis Quintet

    Columbia
Miles Davis KOB mono and stereo wrong track listing
    Ellington Jazz Party in Stereo

And lots of rock. Beatles mono YB Parlophone, Stones mono UK Decca, Who mono Track, UK Bowie. First pressing mono and stereo Doors, Airplane, Buffalo Springfield.

Zappa- Freak Out and Absolutely Free

I am very surprised at current values of even 90's indie pop...many titles I own are in the $50-$100 category.

I think I need to talk to an insurance agent.....

    according to discogs:

    Christian Marclay - Footsteps
    $528.74

    runners up:

    Muslimgauze - Tandoori Dog
    $473.50

Sun Ra - Rose Hued Mansions Of The Sun
    $448.18

Christian Marcley - Record Without A Cover
    $410.21

    John Cage - Etudes Boreales/Ryoanji
    $408.79

  24. That’s weird. I bought this when it came out on the west coast in 1971 and mine didn’t come with the second postcard. I don’t think I have anything remotely that valuable and would t use Discogs as a guide for me at least because the prices are sometimes inflated and other times appear to undervalue a release.

Tool- Aenima (Classic Records 2 LP Test pressing) goes for 400-800 dollars.

According to information on other websites and users here only 10 maybe 20 test pressing were made.

Nine Inch Nails The Fragile ( original1999 3 LP) goes for 300-800 USD sealed or in mint to near mint condition.
