This just arrived a couple of days ago, so I may save it until Christmas Eve or Christmas Day.

Dish has two different Holiday fireplace channels, this being one of them. I've actually been
occasionally putting this one on already...because it's in HD it's a nice thing to have on when
    listening to music or reading...….

  8. One of the very best ones I ever watched around Christmas time was, at the suggestion of our daughter, a couple of years ago, Shaun The Sheep.

And I saw it again yesterday night. What an amazingly cute, funny and moving animation film! 10 stars!

    Christmas movies?
I think the original Fahrenheit 451 is quite beautiful, maybe it's the books and the snow.

    Christmas Eve
A Christmas Story - "Oh ffffuuuuuudge!"
A Very Brady Christmas - yep, it's cheesy and sappy, but I love it.

The Alistair Sim A Christmas Carol (Scrooge) from 1951 will play on Christmas eve in our house. I have the anniversary Blu-ray and it mostly looks great.

Since the BR set just arrived, last night we watched disc one of the restoration of the '63 "Cleopatra". Stunning-looking in 65 mm Todd AO, but what a mess in terms of casting and drama. They could call part one "Dr. Dolittle the Emperor" (Rex Harrison as Caesar?) and part two "George and Martha go to Egypt" :)
