Yea, that will be something, hope it gets more attention than most new releases these days, The Meadowlands was one of those records that steadily built a following for months after release, even years, doesn't happen very often these days, one week and it's over. Cool article at Aquarium Drunkard a couple days ago on the new album ...

Man, I played the FFVII Remake demo the other day and MAN, is that soundtrack sounding grandiose or WHAT?! Can't wait to play the full game. I'm impressed... most impressed! :)

I know I cannot wait for a complete (part I) release of the soundtrack...the originals music was fantastic but this is next level!

I’ve preordered the EOB album and The Strokes new album too. Quite excited for both of them.

@Jarra Lad - I stumbled across Anna Calvi from Nadine Shah. Just learned a little while ago that Jehnny Beth (Savages) has a solo release "To Love Is To Live" scheduled for 5/8/20.
    Pre-Orders available Now.
I've listened to a couple of early teasers & thinking I might pre-order; also, that it's Flood producing - same producer on EOB "Earth" (who produced U2's Pop & Zooropa).
Would you say she sort of fits in w/Anna Calvi & Nadine Shah? That's the vibe I'm getting/hearing...Thanks! :tiphat:

I watched Jehnny Beth's set on BBC red button for 6 music just today before I saw your post. It was decent so I'll definitely give the album a whirl. Has a harsher sound than Nadine Shah but both ladies are strong personalities so definitely some common ground.

Thanks for sharing & what I'd been thinking, too - How I learned of her: reflex record shop pre-order e-mail Reflex CD & Vinyl Immediately listened to samples of Savages & watched BBC 6 Music Festival performances on youtube. I thought you were probably more familiar than me. I may hold off a little bit on the pre-order, in order to listen to both Nadine Shah's new release & her's. I have Anna Calvi's Hunter, which I'd just gotten (not Hunted; not as big a fan of acoustic; not for this material) I also just recently discovered & received Meg Myers "Sorry" CD - which I couldn't get brand new, so had ordered it Used/Mint from a vendor on Discogs. I'd heard her version of "Running Up That Hill" (Kate Bush cover) & researched further.

Been listening to Dana Gavanski the last week. If you enjoyed last year's Cate Le Bon album Reward then Dana might be right up your street. She's Canadian born to a Serbian family. Her debut album is due 27th March on Full Time Hobby label. Sad that I didn't attend a recent Newcastle show.

Jarvis Cocker's album has been delayed until September. It had been scheduled for release in May. The single House Music All Night Long was really good.
As a teenager Matt Johnson released a limited edition cassette in 1979 titled See Without Being Seen. It was reproduced for cassette store day last year as a The The product with 3 extra instrumental tracks. This Friday it's getting a CD release with 3 further extra tracks. Not sure if it'll be on streaming platforms but you can get the CD direct fron The The's website.

Satch's new video for "Nineteen Eighty" had close to 1M views the last time I looked. It sounds like there will be a lot of variety on this one. Been a fan for over 30 years!

He just released another teaser called "Big Distortion". You can find it on YT but you'll have to dig a bit. To me it sounds like he is tapping into some fresh feels that I haven't heard in a while. It has a 50s rock flavor with some Stones-y riffs. New producer this time too, first time since Crystal Planet, I believe. Check it out!

Didn't know about this while on pre-order. Caught up w/a new releases/pre-order e-mail from indie record shop & it's so good, sharing it here. Listened to it today & ordered immediately! (...and, yes, I did put it on Best Of'2020 thread :righton:)

My beloved Soul Asylum has a new album, Hurry Up and Wait, coming out on April 17. Is anyone else here looking forward to it?
