I've never seen Gumbys rerun by any tv stations I get in my area in fifty years (they must've once though as my older brother had a Pokey toy and knew the theme song), and I only saw the religious one, Davey And Goliath, when I was really little. I've been able to check out old Gumbys online but you'd think it'd be great short filler material for some specialty channel's format. Bonus music trivia: Flying Burrito Brother and steel guitarist 'Sneaky' Pete Kleinow worked on some of these!
"Picket Fences" hit Hulu a few weeks ago. I had almost forgotten what a good show it was. Only thing is the picture quality is so soft on Hulu, like the sharpness has been cranked back. Everything else on that stream looks good. Perhaps a bad transfer made for Hulu and it hasn't been remastered for HD. Well worth watching in any case.
I recently got a Rumpole of the Bailey set. I had seen some of it when it was on TV in the 1970s but find it a revelation now. Thought it was going to be more comedic than it is, and it's not PC at all.
I get the feeling he thought much like the character he plays in Rumpole. I only know of him otherwise as a character in The Prisoner..
Watched a few episodes of the original Knight Rider series out of curiosity the other day. Kinda cheesy formula: lone man with AI companion on endless road trip fighting crime. Hope it gets better.
