I watched the first two episodes of season 1 of CSI over the weekend. They have not aged well IMO. I had a hard time getting through them. I had the idea to watch the entire run but now I am questioning doing that.

So on to something else..now I’m thinking about Law and Order SVU. There are something like 22 seasons on Hulu. I’ll start with season 1 and see how it goes.

    Where

Where were you watching these....were they on one of the on demand streaming services? I can only find them on a Pluto TV dedicated channel but they are not on demand.

We watched them all on CBS All-Access. We subscribe to that for the Star Trek shows and one or two others.

You’re referring to the very first episode of the series, which actually aired as a TV movie. But it wasn’t WW2 - he was an Air Force test pilot in the 1950s. He was supposed to break Mach 2 speed. He tells everyone that he doesn’t know how to fly but they think he’s just pranking them.

Bad idea! To appreciate The Prisoner, you'll need to level up your intellectual capacity, not dumb it down.

  13. It depends on the person. If cannibis consumption uniformly deadened mental acutiy then we'd never have jazz...nor rock 'n' roll...nor reggae...nor R&B...nor funk...

But, in a way you have a point, if one wants to view the abovementioned genres as rudimentary forms of music as seen through the optic of orchestral/chamber works; I would understand.

As is, however, I've seen the first 4 episodes of The Prisoner, as high as the Canadian flag, and never once did I misplace my intellect. ;)

Thanks for the warning, though! "Be seeing you.":D

I just ordered one of those. I can play Wee-Jun B if it's locked. I hadn't thought about it in a long time.

Wow...that's bringing back some memories....remember Diana? And how exciting it was when the visitors were finally revealed in terms of what they look like?

Damn...I remember catching these when I was in elementary school....

Those female members of alien species sure knew how to wear make-up and accessorize in the original Star Trek.

    Yeah...you noticed, too?

And I love how nearly every alien species they encounter throughout every galaxy is basically humanoid and speaks English....

I find myself cycling through the same old shows on Amazon Prime. I just finished The Mentalist for the 2nd time. I like that show - I especially like how they wrapped it up.

I finally finished Bones a few months ago. That was a slog. It probably went on 5 or 6 seasons (or more!) too long. I'm amazed I could watch a series for so long when it contained such annoying characters. Everyone from Bones to Booth to Bug Boy to Angela reached heights on my annoyance scale that have yet to be topped by any other character from a show I've watched cover to cover.

I'm currently watching Republic of Doyle for the first time. I like it so far - I'm only 1/3 of the way through the 2nd season.

I'm also going through House for the 2nd time. I just like seeing Cuddy, truth be told. Whatever. She makes an effort to put herself together extremely well, so I've got to tip my hat to that. Well done.

I'm also watching Burn Notice for the 3rd or 4th time. This is one of my favorites, although I'm still pretty pi$$ed they killed off Nate. And... they killed off Madeline just when she was becoming likeable. Other than that, I've got no gripes.
