    Nope. Minimum $20 for postage and handling.

    Actually, in all seriousness, what I really want is something between VG and VG+ (for CDs). If you read the description in the forum guidelines, there's a fairly big leap between the two, and there's no way to write anything in-between.

    I wonder who the current owner is? I can't see his name written anywhere.

    I use VG+++ occasionally. It means something close to near mint. The term excellent might be useful too. I hesitate to use near mint in lieu of VG+++ because to some people, 'near(ly) mint' connotates a record that looks like its been played maybe once or twice but is like new - whatever that means.

    Grading is so subjective and prone to the viewers bias anyway. 'Very Good' (VG) should mean a clean record thats shows little use or play - like the way I've kept mine since the beginning. But in reality, VG is steered by the average person who scuffs their records a bit, tosses them into the sleeves, and so on. To further muck up the waters, the grading systems are skewed towards the visual and seem to have little to do with sound quality. Which is why my grades are skewed more to the sound over the visual aspect. I have records in my collection that are marked up but have 'the best' sound to my ears, and sold the truly NM ones.

    I was originally referring to vinyl, but I am not one to care about what direction a thread might be redirected... by conversation.
    ---

    As far as VG+++
    I understand now... thanks for explaining it....

    Adding +'s automagically change a record from VG+ to NM

    Got it... regardless of WOL, and grubby handprints.

    :/

    Seriously, I admit there are times it is hard to verbally portray the visual aspects of a record correctly
    and the use of an extra "+" here or there by a tenured seller is usually an attempt to be as forthcoming
    as possible... but I do not think the seller that is featured in the OP has that in mind.

    I could be mistaken. Maybe that seller is the cats meow, whatever that means.

    I am no expert, but I know what shiney clean vinyl sounds like.

    $3000 is a bargain. The seller autographed it 600 times. :rolleyes:

    VG+++ is really a VG+ item that needs to sell fast because the rent is due next week.

    There is a kind of inflation in these grades so that all of them mean "worse than you would expect from the common English meaning". See:

    http://www.rocklistmusic.co.uk/rarepriceguide.htm

    I've learned that anything less than Ex could be fairly beaten-up.

    On the other hand, if a non-collector says "very good condition" it might truly be so (or, of course, much much worse).

    IT PLAYS CONSERVATIVELY VG++++

    The "buy it now" is only a grand. What a deal.

    I have two copies of that 45 in a box somewhere. The 45s are old store stock so they must really valuable.
