Philips had some audio electronics sold under the Magnavox badge though it always sold its turntables as Philips ...

While JBL started manufacturing in CA but has moved everywhere, Ohm remains in Brooklyn, NY but that is great!

I was reading an old stereo review mag from 1980 late last night and noticed a short review calling the Ohm F as possibly the best speakers out there at the time ...

It is interesting to see a vintage Soundcraftsmen amp in the background.

I'd like to have my Marantz 2230 back along with my Sansui SP-2000 speakers. I really enjoyed that combination back in the day.

I have an old Harman Kardon solid state integrated amp from about 30 yrs ago in my closet. It was 25 wpc and was the first good piece of equipment I bought. I think I got it from The Wiz, or maybe Crazy Eddie's. It was a good unit that worked flawlessly.

I do not think Crazy Eddie's had ever expanded past the northeast ...

No. But I was raised just outside NYC. Spent a LOT of time in Crazy Eddies buying tapes in giant boxes!

From NYC to Montana, a humongous culture shock. I did not think a native Montanan would know anything about Crazy Eddie's ...

I last visited Montana twenty years ago when there was no speed limit.

    And no Open Container Laws!

Nothing like getting pulled over at 125 with a fresh cold one between your legs. Then talking fishing with Highway Patrol Officer.

Back in the day a lot of speakers had these wood grills. Very fancy and quite attractive. The cloth behind them was very thin so the sound wasn't a problem. Each cabinet had 6 speakers: 1 12"woofer, a 4 and 5 1/2"midranger, 2 tweeters and 1 super tweeter. Back in 1970 I thought they sounded pretty good with my Marantz and Dual 1209 TT. By todays standards I'm sure there is probably allot to find fault with but I thought they were awesome at the time.

I have some Sansui SP X 7000s hooked up to an Adcom 500 series amp / pre combo and they sound incredible.

Have another set hooked up to an old Carver out in my woodshop.

    And yeah, 4 Ways

I am still fascinated with the Ohm's Walsh driver with 360 degree sound dispersion ...

I'd love to hear them also. I have a weird tweeter issue with my C2's and was invited to bring them in for testing. If I go, I'll see if I can get a listen to the Walsh's.
