About 10 years ago when he used to write for Stereophile, I loved his equipment reviews because of his unique humor. But, he hasn't been heard from since. What happened to him?

"Best Baby Toy" and "Chicken Dance Elmo"? Man, what happened to this guy! Corey's Stereophile reviews were always fresh and funny. I bought a lot of budget gear he recommended and was never dissapointed. He used to crack me up with his Elvis references! I hope he gets back to what he does best.

I saw him on The Today Show yesterday (Saturday, October 19th). He was there for a segment on flat-screen TVs (LCD and plasma). Overall, I wasn't impressed with him. Obviously for The Today Show, I did not expect a hardcore technology discussion, but he still did not show any advanced knowledge that warranted his appearance there in my opinion.

Thanks Dean. That's very nice of you -- glad you enjoyed my reviews.

As you say, I have moved on from high end audio. I am now the technology
correspondent for the Today Show, which keeps me very busy. I look back on my
audio writing days fondly but I am very excited about what I'm doing now.

I went to your site and its very interesting. Tell steve hi for me, we met when
I was writing for the mags.

    Best,
    Corey Greenberg

Subject: Please forward this to Corey Greenberg Re: Hi-Fi

    Hello Mr Greenberg,
A few days ago I was reading some old issues of Stereophile and was reminded how
much I miss your fresh perspective on audio gear and music. I see that you have
moved on to other things but I'll bet you still love the "high end". I
purchased many pieces based on your recommendation such as NHT Super Zero's, NHT
Subs, and NAD electronics, among other things. I was never steered wrong.
What I miss most is your sense of humor. Your multiple Elvis references, your
puns and play on words. Man, those were fun reviews. Perhaps, someday, you
will once again do some Hi-End stuff.
By the way, If you want to see what Hi-Fi and music sound quality nuts are
talking about these days come visit us at WWW.STEVEHOFFMAN.TV . I think you'll
like what we talk about and perhaps you could throw an opinion in once in
    awhile.

    Thanks for your time,
    Dean De Furia

I always enjoyed his writing. However his opinions have to be taken with a grain of salt.
