Argentine release of Dylan's Down in the Groove LP had a few different tracks.. I spent 18 months in Buenos Aires and i looked really really really hard...they probably pressed about 1000 as back then Argentina was all cassettes...most are surely destroyed by now due to the economic hardships..
Really? On the back of my copy it says, in big letters, "Warning: This record can only be played once." I've already played it.
Fortunately, there aren't any LPs that I really want that I don't have. Sure, a bunch that I'd buy if I found them in good shape and the price was right or they were reissued, etc., but no anxiety-inducing must-haves. But now 78s, that's another matter. My profile pic would be one: George E. Lee's orchestra on the Meritt label. But I'm not holding my breath.
I think a Misfits acetate would be awesome, but I don't think I've ever read about one being out there.
This is mine too, the CD. There are so many fakes that I don't want to buy online, I have never seen a legit copy in person, and if I do, I doubt I will have enough money to buy it.
LP: The Kinks- VILLAGE GREEN PRESERVATION SOCIETY 12-track stereo (preferably French color cover version) 7": The Who-"Young Man (Blues)" b/w "Substitute" stock Decca single
While I've been collecting the US and UK releases of The Beatles singles and LPs for many years now, obtaining a butcher cover has never been high on my list. They aren't particularly hard to find. One just needs to have the right amount of money to get one. I'd rather track down releases that offer something different musically. Examples would be the Penny Lane US promo single or the UK pressing of Revolver with the alternate Tomorrow Never Knows.
You lucky lucky man. You purchased it without listening to the music? I'd gladly take it off your hands for the price you originally paid for it
I slip em in the bags of people buying several things, if they try to return it, I saw no. didn't come from here
How do you reach 10,000 records? Do you just buy entire collections as is or is there a certain criteria that you go through when purchasing each record. What percentage of your collection would you say you've listened to in their entirety?
You mean an original pressing? Most reissues of that record also have a banana that can be peeled and go for cheap.
Interesting, in my case I don't feel like I own an album until I have it on vinyl. Buying an album digitally or on CD does nothing for me.
David Bowie - Hunky Dory EMI 100 pressing and a Mint OG Monarch Sticky Fingers. I have 3 perfectly fine copies but to find a flawless one would be a dream.
Springsteen -- Born to Run -- with the script cover. Guided By Voices -- Propeller -- one of the original 500 in band-decorated sleeves. I see both on eBay occasionally. I look at the current bid and say goodbye.
I'd love to possess it because I love Kansas City Jazz and this record is an important piece of Kansas City Jazz history. It's a Holy Grail (and essentially unobtainable without very deep pockets) because it also happens to be incredibly rare.
Massive Attack Heligoland and Cake Fashion Nugget on vinyl.... Waiting for the reissue 'cause I refuse to pay what ppl are asking.
