Come on Neil, let's see individual albums in vinyl. Already have a nice copy of s/t in mono. Would love to have Again in mono on vinyl.

If NYA doesn't want to handle it let Sundazed do it.

Do you watch our classifieds section closely ? My mono copies of both versions of S/T, and Again, have come from fellow members here, who are also great vinyl sellers.

Is this box set coming out as a CD and vinyl collection too? If so, on the CD, will it be HDCD encoded? They aren't including the Retrospective lp? I have the double l.p. with the long version of "Bluebird" and the Buffalo Springfield box set. I'm on the fence about the lps set, Chris Bellman did the cutting which is great!

I'm a massive Neil Young fan but never dove into Buffalo Springfield for some reason. This box set has inspired me to dive right in.

yeah but at least that one wasn't a Buffalo Springfield album or compilation. the completist in me would still like that on there, but it's not as much of a priority.

So, like, when he did the box, he didn’t make it “the best it can be”?

I would certainly hope they would be using the masters.

Why Neil controls the BS catalog at all is baffling.

That was my thought also. I wonder if he leveraged his post-Springfield financial success to buy the rights to the masters.

Personally I could care less about the 9 minute Bluebird. It’s boring.
The single mixes and stereo Scold Me aren’t that big a deal either.
What is amazing to me is that we are getting CB analog cuts of the Mono albums!

My limited understanding is: because Neil.

The long Bluebird arguably wasn't their best moment, but at this point is just seems silly that it hasn't been reissued.

And I disagree about the others. The stereo mix of Baby Don't Scold Me is one of the best sounding mixes on the album, and it's totally inexplicable that it's been out of print for over 50 years. The 45 mix of Bluebird is nothing special, but Mr. Soul, Uno Mundo, and Merry-Go-Round are all good, unique mixes. At least Uno Mundo is on the Stills box.

I agree Luke that these things should be released. I’m just not losing sleep over it.

Now if we can get Paul Simon to do the mono Bookends on reissue vinyl my life will be complete

I'm not losing sleep over it, but it's frustrating and annoying when 50 years after the fact a "complete" set still isn't complete. Between this release and the mono/stereo twofer, the lack of a stereo Baby Don't Scold Me is especially baffling.

I just purchased a like-new mono BSA last Thursday for $20. Already having nice pressings of everything, I can't justify purchasing this, and the limited vinyl may mean that the likelihood of a future price blowout is low.

Lots of good unreleased material on the previous box.

And the aforementioned stuff not on either box.

Just listened to some of "Uno Mundo" from the Carry On box on iTunes. It was in stereo. Are you saying the stereo 45 mix was on the box set?

Yes. Uno Mundo/Merry-Go-Round was a stereo 45. Different mixes from the LP.

Interesting. Was the 45 mix of "Merry Go Round" on the box set as well, and was there a mono mix of this 45?
