I know this has probably been posted somewhere before but I've been trying to find the best sounding Hollies CD collection for the early material ('64 to '66). I have a late '80's EMI CD "The Best Vol. 1", which sounds pretty good (all stereo), and I have the Epic Anthology (Bob Irwin produced) CD.

    Hi Paul,

The subject has been discussed several times since I came on board in May. If you will put "hollies golden" in the music thread search, I think you will get your answer.

Hey Paul, I really love the 3 Cd set that Ron Furmanek produced.

Yes, I know, a lot of folks dont dig his remixes, but they are CLEAN, CLEAN, CLEAN. You hear things you never heard on the records.

Well worth picking up if you can still find it. TONS of great songs. "I'll Be True To You" (before Boyce and Hart picked it up for The Monkees first Lp) is worth the price of the whole set alone.

Heh heh heh. The question in this forum that has a "boomerang" effect, becsause it always comes back. "20 Golden Greats" on the EMI label is what Steve recommended. I love that disc as well. Epic Anthology is neat for the count-ins.

The Hollies are playing at a venue next door on Thursday. I might want to leave my window open.

Thanks. I'll see if I can find someone. With my luck, I'd join and it would be out of stock!
