Was that Buckner & Garcia PAC-MAN FEVER album ever released on CD?

Now that I think about it, most likely only the single had significant sales numbers.

Not hard to actually verify your guesses and hunches before posting.

I think Pac Man Fever is a good pick.

I was going to say that it was probably some Broadway cast album or Mantovani or something.

I was going to say Jack Wagner - All I Need, but this album did get a CD reissue in Japan, only 15 years after it's original release. It finally came out on CD in the US in 2007. I don't really know how well this album sold since this type of music was very remote to what I listen to. I see like new, used copies of the vinyl album in the bins for cheap. The hit single, "All I Need" was played to death when I lived in Morris, MN in 1984-85 while attending 7th grade.

I'm not sure if that super-stardom in Morris really translated to worldwide popularity.

I saw that compilation, but didn't notice it's the whole album with Did You Ever added. So that doesn't count!

Still no CD of Nancy & Lee Again though. I don't know why not. Nancy & Lee 3 was obviously from the CD era, but seems to have only been released in Australia for some reason. Didn't they want to sell their music?!

Disc 1 of this is my favorite album, and I have it on CD in pristine quality (as per the 1976 issue).

    However... it's a bootleg.

Ok, maybe not a massive seller but was Gold (whatever that means) in the UK and Canada.

Musical Youth have been ill served on CD. I believe most of the tracks were released on their Anthology CD, which is OOP (saw a copy sell on ebay recently for £20).

I think most of the best selling cast recordings have been released on CD at one time or another, even if most are now OOP.

You could be on to something with Mantovani. A lot of easy listening sold truckloads, and most of it was never reissued on CD. Isn't it claimed that Nina Mouskouri sold over 300 million albums? Surely there's a million seller that wasn't reissued on CD.

James Last, maybe? Most likely something non-rock or pre-rock, anyway.

George Martin remixed several tracks for Rock & Roll Music, and as far as I know those mixes have never appeared on CD.

I think you are spot on.

I had to resort to getting a bootleg on vinyl.
