"Disillusion" by ABBA is the only ABBA song co-written by Agnetha Fältskog (with Björn Ulvaeus).

When Sammy Hagar's family moved to America (long before he was born), their last name was Van Hagar. Somewhere along the way, the Van was dropped.

Pretty sure that's a myth. In any event, Ms. Davis was not impressed:

Pat Boone came dangerously close to being crowned the new king of rock'n'roll when Elvis was in the army.

We also hear a little bit of the "Workshop" bit from the Smile Sessions at the end of the album version of "Do It Again".
McCartney chomped on vegetables again for the Super Furry Animals on their track "Receptacle For The Respectable" in a loving nod to the past.

There might be one other. "I'm Still Alive", which premiered on Abba Live at Wembley album, was written by Agnetha (I think, she did sing it and played piano.. she might have co-wrote it with another member or lyric writer). It never appeared on a studio album during the bands active years.

There's a church in San Francisco called the Saint John Coltrane Church. Coltrane Church »

He was posthumously made patron saint of the church and it "holds jam sessions every Sunday that are 'five-hour jam sessions interspersed with liturgy, sermons, and fellowship.' " (The quote is from Wiki)

A girl I knew in college brought a pack back from Europe for me one summer. They were like smoking a cigarette full of pipe tobacco, but I felt like the coolest mombo king in the world that week.

Diana Ross took down the Mob! (kinda)

In 1981, Ross recorded a cover version of "Why Do Fools Fall in Love," originally recorded by Frankie Lymon & the Teenagers and written, allegedly, by Lymon and George Goldner. Goldner owned Gee Records, the label for which Lymon recorded, and helped himself to writing credits on many of his artist roster's material, in order to collect royalties and buoy a gambling habit that frequently landed him in hot water with certain New York families. When Ross's cover became a big hit, Lymon's widows (four of them, from none of whom he'd ever obtained a divorce) wanted a long overdue payday and started litigation that eventually led to the exposure of Goldner's racket, as well as that of Morris Levy, another underworld figure whose Roulette Records had swallowed up Goldner's Gee label.
