Too many songs could fit the bill - yet, one track that never grows old to me. (Reminds me of many friends passed)

There are so many songs that I really like and could easily be my most favorite song, but I think that "Hoppipolla" by Sigur Ros (2004, Genre: Post-Rock/Alternative Rock) takes it for me. By the way, the language that the lyrics of this song are in is Icelandic

This song was very well made, it's really good and somewhat of a modern-classic. I also believe it was a one-hit wonder in the U.K.?

Tossup between "Someone To Watch Over Me" and "Blues in the Night"

Rosemary Clooney does a great job with both of them.

God Only Knows was the first song that leapt to mind when I saw this thread. This could change another day, but GOK is certainly in my all-time top 5 so I'll rank it #1 today.

Sometime in the early 70s, I was first asked this question, and I couldn't decide between the following:

    In My Life
    California Dreamin
Smile a little Smile for Me
    Wild World

    And I still haven't decided

Have you ever heard the version / arrangement by jazz drummer John Hollenbeck. It's nearly 15 minutes long and it takes it far afield but he also respects Webb's vision. It's on his album Songs I Like A Lot.
