Who's Next for me. Even the arguable filler is killer.

I think the reason for that is with all the musical acts that whore themselves out now, the satire feels more relevant now than it might have back then.

"Favorite" and what I consider "best" are two different answers in my mind. I think Who's Next is their best, but my personal favorite (the one I play most often) is It's Hard (followed closely by The Who By Numbers)

The only album of there's that I have: Who's Next, even more so after reading the backstory of how Ethan Russell got the shot for the cover.

The Who By Numbers, easily for their studio work. But Live at Leeds is their best release, for me.

Disclaimer: I'm not really a fan of The Who overall.

i choose "who's next" it could have been "odds and sods" or maybe "by numbers".i am not a huge who fan.
i like them of course and saw them live twice.once doing quadrophenia,it was a bit tedious.but interestingly enough lynyrd skynyrd opened for them! i also saw them on the by numbers tour which was by and large a greatest hits show and man was that smoking.
i guess i always liked the who's singles as much as full albums and they seemed to be better live then on record.
i almost think pete's solo work is about as good as the who's.

I'll give you a hint; this track's on it.

(I was going to link to the soundtrack mix but I figured someone was going to be that person, so I didn't.)

If you take a look at a list of the songs that were supposed to feature in Lifehouse, it would most certainly be their best album, if released

Live At Leeds would rank right up there with Who's Next and Tommy.

    This album speaks to me.

The Who may be my 3rd or 4th favorite band of all time, but Quad is my desert island album.
I was born in Shepherds Bush in 1960,that may have something to do with it.

The band is in my top 5, maybe even top 3 and I have nothing after Who Are You. I picked Odds and Sods. I love those types of compilations (i.e. Jethro Tull's 1972 Living in the Past), but how to you pick a favorite from one of your favorite bands.

I only have Who's Next, and I haven't heard much of the rest. Is it possible there's a better Who album than this?
