Just listening to a classic Folk/Blues Festival LP title ... great lineup! American Folk Blues Festival 1964 (Fontana/France)
Read his great bio "I Am The Blues" (if you haven't already,) the guy was SO important to the history of Blues music.
Spinning some Piedmont Blues this morning. Good Stuff! Blind Willie Mctell: 1940 The Legendary Library Of Congress Session (Melodeon 1965)
I like how they broke down each disc on this one and they strayed a bit from the usual WD suspects. I got this Belgian import used some time ago. It's Chess material only, but done chronologically and in great sound quality. Various - Willie Dixon's Blues Dixonary
Thinking about picking up a CD of his music, have seen a few on offer but not sure which one to get. Been playing a couple discs of my When The Sun Goes Down: The Secret History of Rock and Roll set today. Great music!
"raveoned" - There are plenty of CD compilations to choose from! Perhaps sample a few titles first. The Yazoo compilations are very good, but I'm sure there are others that might suit your interest.
Thank you! There is one in the When The Sun Goes Down series, as well as some from other labels I've got CDs from before. I may look up what Yazoo has as well, since I've recently been getting into their CDs (got a Charley Patton one on Yazoo this past Christmas and love it!)
All Albert is brilliant to me especially on Stax. Kicking myself as just passed up a 30 quid UK vinyl copy of Thursday Night In San Francisco!
Compilation of the originators by Indigo that is well done, all the usual suspects here and in good sound

Nice choice "mwheelerk" - Both labels have a number of great artists/titles to choose from! Prestige released a series of CD compilations in the mid to late 90's worth checking out, which will get you a good sample of Bluesville artists and music.
Some excellent "pre-war" Blues from one of my fav artists! Big Bill Broonzy - 1930's Blues (Biograph 1973)
