If there was any film evidence of his marriage to Katie Holmes I'd say that one. If not then I'd say ... Risky Business All The Right Moves Taps Rain Man
oh yeah, I love Legend, especially the longer Directors cut with the original soundtrack that was replaced by one from Tangerine Dream in the American theatrical release. Some scenes are rearranged for the better too. But, since we only get one pick, it's Vanilla Sky.
Minority Report(2002) filmed on digital. Can anything be done with the blue screen. Backlight glare is annoying.
And Tom Cruise/Cameron Diaz is a nice pair too. Sorry, had to do it. For my money Tom Cruise has been THE action hero of the last 15 or so years. You have to admire his tenacity and the fact his movies are largely what James Bond was to the 1970's. His best performance is probably Magnolia, Collateral or Rain Man. However, I enjoy all of these modern action blockbusters: Minority Report War of the Worlds (not Steven's best, but fun.) M:I 3 - nearly ruined by shaky cam. Knight and Day - underrated Ghost Protocol Jack Reacher Oblivion Live Die Repeat Rogue Nation Fallout - not as good as the previous 2 M:I The Mummy (fun, if stupid, attempt at a franchise.) Only the 2nd Jack Reacher felt like a big disappointment.
I saw the Spanish movie first and liked it too but to be honest I liked the touches that Cameron Crowe put on his film. Penelope Cruz was a beautiful gem both times.
