The last ‘new’ new CD was probably Dua Lipa’s Future Nostalgia- The Moonlight Edition.

Other than that, lots of new CDs of old albums. A bunch of Paul McCartney Archive CDs to replace the boxsets I’ve sold off recently. Also the Still Crazy After All These Years and Eye In The Sky MFSL SACDs.

just a few of about fifty new CDs I bought so far this year.

    EDIT:
*I've gotten a slow start in 2O21, but it looks like I'll be catching up with last year's stunning haul, based on the number of new releases out now and upcoming, plus recent-years' releases still in stock.

That is a really terrific album.

My last new CD was probably Jeff Tweedy's Love Is The King.

    David Cates

A bit of a story behind this -- David was a friend of mine from back in boarding school. We lost touch after I graduated, and I hadn't seen him in decades, but we reconnected via a FB alumni group, and I learned he had issued several recordings of harpsichord works (including some he had recorded up here in Seattle; I never realized he was here, although we had a mutual friend who didn't know the two of us knew each other). This CD was one that was hard-to-find; I could only get it from an Amazon dealer in Europe who took months to get it to me. I had been planning on messaging David once I got it and telling him my reactions. Sadly, I received word in late December that he had passed away, apparently from COVID, so I'll never get the chance. I've got the CD sitting next to me at the computer, still in its shrink-wrap. I really should open it and rip it to my server, but something is keeping me from doing so. It's almost as if, once I open the CD, it will make it official that he's gone, and that this is now all that's left.

I already have two versions of this, but wanted to try an updated remastering. The album itself is incredible. As for this new remaster (well, from 2016), it's actually nicely done, suffering none of the compression issues we often see/hear. It's a little lighter on the bass at the expense of more detail, but still works. As for the package, this one is a digipac (previous was a traditional jewelcase). The 8 page booklet, sadly, is lame. Fully four pages are simply shots (one per page) of picture covers for various singles. Urgh. The original album included the lyrics, which are missing here. Such a strange decision, imo.

For the price I paid new ($9), it's pretty good.
