  3. How are you liking the blues for Allah? Thinking of picking it up but my original is very nice.

How does the Thom Yorke sound?

Been watching so many horror movies this week in the evening that I haven't had a chance to spin Allah yet, but I will soon.

The Yorke album didn't blow me away sonically, but it's interesting. Lots of disturbing music.

Update: spun it last night and the 2018 Allah sounds pretty great. Warm, full, lots of dimension to the sounds. Flat, quiet and has great sound--about the best one could hope for out of a brand new modern pressing.

I don't have an original to compare to though, and don't know that it would top yours.

A friend saw me crate digging at a local charity thrift and told me to follow her to her home and she would give me her records stored in her pack house. They were in great shape and everything from the Supremes to John Hartford, Elvis to LED Zeppelin. There were about 120 total and 80 that were in great shape and musically great as well. I tried to pay her but she refused so I told her I would make a contribution to the charity of her choice, which was the local domestic violence safe house. So technically I didn’t pay for them.

I caved in for the Vault release of “Consolers of the Lonely” by the Raconteurs. I like the album and it reminds me of when I first met my wife.

Nice- I just ordered Wake of the Flood (Rocktober) yesterday! I have a GD Records US, and GD Records UK to compare it to.
Scored (used) on Saturday at a Record Riot show:
Little Feat: Sailin Shoes: Early press- have yet to spin
Led Zep: IV Porky Pecko Duck 4 digit early serial. Very nice on my little monitors, but have to spin on my big system. I have
a great feeling about this one, but there is a bit of noise.
Jerry Garcia: S/T (the first with The Wheel, Sugaree.... Early Green Label WB. This is quite nice. Will have to do formal A/B with my later WB,
    but this is winner.
David Gilmour: S/T: Early press Sterling label: Love this one. Sound is unreal. If the Little Feat sounds good, I may have went 4 for 4 at this show.
