Original US Some Girls. Really happy w/ how great this sounds cranked. I know some don't like the snare, I've always dug it. Now the search is on for a nice Artisan copy of Exile that's not $100.

I've owned the entire Led Zeppeling catalog in various digital formats dating back to the 1980s, when I first got into them. I recently picked up nice copies of IV and In Through The Out Door and I was blown away by how good they sounded coming off of vinyl. I then ordered the rest of the catalog, but I went for the recent remasters and pressings rather than VG/VG+ used copies. So now I wait, probably until after Christamas....
I purchased the entire set of LP replica sleeves of everything from Sticky Fingers through Tattoo You that were released right around the Voodoo Lounge tour. I've always been very happy with the sound of those releases and now you have me curious about travelling down the rabbit hole of Stones on Vinyl! I have some of the original London pressings, like Beggar's Banquet and Get Your YaYas Out and I've always marveled at the sound quality of those pressings.
I had a real good day yesterday. Someone from worked dropped off three huge boxes of minty classical records from the 50s and 60s. Real nice stuff, probably between 100 and 150 records including a pile of Living Stereos and some other fancy stuff. But that wasn't enough so I hit the record store at lunch and found: Booker T & the MGs Green Onions mono (!) The Yes Album White label promo (!!!) AND HOLY CRAP!! Australian 2nd pressing AC/DC High Voltage!!! Holy Grail alert!! It was a good day yesterday.
Scratch and dent BS Paranoid. First Canadian press. Sounds quite good, early betters later UK NEMS repress. Interestingly not quite as good as the spectacular sounding Canadian first press of the first BS album. Dunhill/ABC copy of Trespass. Tan US Label. Was cheap and thought it might be interesting to compare to my pink scroll UK. As you might imagine I should not have bothered. ENO Warm Jets. First UK with a nice scratch, but otherwise NM. Sounds awesome for a family low fi record. It just blasts from the speakers. Pressed quite hot.
