Preorder on Lost Crowes. No idea how it will sound but if you snooze you lose. Not as urgent, but the Traffic box set is burning the next whole in my pocket.

Vinyl (sterling press) purchased this weekend. Have had the CD for ages. Record is even better than I remembered. A very strong, well produced album full of great songs. Record seems to be climbing in price.

Diana Ross and the Supremes Greatest Hits, Tamla Motown UK mono TML 11063, from early 1968. Really beat but only £1. Lots of pops and crackle but virtually no groove wear (my biggest vintage vinyl peeve)!

Neil Young = Mirror Ball US pressing. It was $50 which is way more than I care to spend on a record but wasn't exactly one you see in the wild often so I took the plunge.

Not sure of the rules here so I hope this isn't too long. Picked these up at an estate sale. $15.00 for all. Not likely to stumble across a chance like this again anytime soon. Family told me these (and a whole bunch more) had been boxed up for over 20 years. Had to work my way into the back of the garage, unstack and unpack the boxes to get to these. Didn't mind at all. Nobody watching. Nobody saying you can't have that or that one costs more. Only thing that bothers me is I'm sure I overlooked a box somewhere. Also picked up three huge and heavy boxes of 45s for another $10 bucks. Fun day.

Just arrived. As per Discogs, the Columbia Mixed Masters series consisted of 12" and CD single releases of classic disco and club tracks, including many mixes which had never been released commercially before. The first series of releases were issued between October 1987 and September 1989, and was limited to recordings which made the Top 5 on the Billboard pop, black, or dance charts. Columbia resurrected the series on 12" vinyl in the late 90s with different cover art.

I didn't buy this record because of the DJ remix of "Black Betty". Not interested in this. I just found by accident this record containing the original album versions of two great songs by totally unrelated bands, which is very cool to me. Released in 1997.

Received my blue marble vinyl copy of Stray Cats "40" this afternoon. Kudos to the Mascot Label Group for one of the finest jobs of packing I've ever seen with cool outer plastic corner protectors on the package. My purchase included a coaster, stickers and a fantastic poster of the album artwork. I'm totally impressed and would not hesitate to purchase from them again, thanks MLG!
