David Bowie's last LP, so I could rip it myself with proper dynamics on my mini studio and upload to my server. Hours of work, with a very satisfying result.

I understand this thrill completely. I was shopping at Amoeba years ago and they had a original Vertigo Masters of Reality in the bins. The cover was smushed and let’s just say well loved and the vinyl wasn’t great looking but it was around $10 and I wasn’t gonna pass up a OG Vertigo Sabbath cause she wasn’t that pretty. Well it sounds amazing and looks can be deceiving. Still one of my favorite purchases.
So, you haven't bought a vinyl record in thirty years? I guess I can see Flowers in the Dirt doing that. The production is horrible. I just bought the archive 2lp though, for the second lp. The demos are great. No gloppy gloss and I love Paul and Elvis singing together.
I bought two new Bernie Grundman mastered jazz records from B&N, taking advantage of their "Black Friday in July" coupon stacking. Both titles were 30% off, and I stacked another 20% on top of that. Ended up getting both for a total of just over $30. Dave Brubeck - Time In: Chet Baker - Chet is Back!: Props to B&N for having somebody who cares enough to do these special releases with ORG Music. Not bad for a "big box" store.
I actually really enjoyed the album. I moved out of state during this time period and my situation changed. I went with cassettes and then CDs. And now am mainly back to cassettes. I would like this but prices are high: Flowers In The Dirt - The cassette demos (album) PAUL MCCARTNEY & ELVIS COSTELLO RSD FLOWERS IN THE DIRT CASSETTE DEMOS. LIMITED 602557404920 | eBay
Just arrived, and took a picture before popping the cherry: A sealed copy of the original 1996 vinyl pressing of Pantera's "The Great Southern Trendkill". Not my favorite Pantera album, but it has one of my absolute favorite Pantera songs, "Floods", which, unlike the 2012 reissue, is present here in its entirety. Not cheap, but not insanely expensive either. Very happy with my purchase.
'The Best Of Sam Cooke' 2018 repress... Used to have this on a UK 'Premier' label pressing. Sold it long ago when I had a vinyl purge. Now' I've come back to the ways of vinyl, I'm glad to have this one back in the fold...

Kinda of a neat Japan Police Box popped up from a domestic seller (at an excellent price) Still sealed, 10x7 inch, nice wood hinged box to house them in. I couldn't find a single review for this 1987 set anywhere. Everything She Does Is Magic is omitted for some reason, otherwise it uses the Japan tracks and UK if it wasn't released there. Synchronicity II was only released as a 12 inch in Japan, so that makes sense why it wasn't included.
