I used to receive vinyl singles as a member of Pearl Jam's fan club, I think they stop pressing those and went-all digital about 10 years ago, but the last time I actually specifically purchased a vinyl record was in about 1986, when I bought a live promo EP with about four songs from Aerosmith's Done With Mirrors tour...so about 33 years ago!

I've bought Richard Thompson's Still as a Christmas gift for a Jeff Tweedy fan who has likely never heard of Richard Thompson himself. We'll see how he likes it !

    Giant Sand - Glum 25th

Just discovered this exists, I'd given up all hope of getting a vinyl copy. Plus...

Neil Young - Zuma (2016? Reissue) I'm convinced all these reissues will be super expensive in a few years when the vinyl market shuts down.

At the charity thrift near my house I regularly find something worth buying. There among the albums I have flipped through for months was one new addition. A live double album from Mike Bloomfield and Al Kooper. It was a little dirty but with no deep scratches and just your usual surface scuffs and cleaned up well. The jacket was in surprisingly good condition. I gladly laid down my 25 cents and carried that one home.
