Almost Daylight-Chris Knight. His first new album in 7 years. All of his albums are great however this may be his best one yet. He sings about folks on the fringes of life as per usual and he’s joined by Dan (Keep your hands to yourself) Baird on guitars and vocals and John Prine even kicks in on Chris’s cover of his song Mexican Home. The vinyl was flawless.
it is the reissue. So far all the cheap trick reissues I have bought all sound excellent. All have been mastered from the original analog tapes. I do have some originals but have not down any comparisons
Frankie Goes To Hollywood "WELCOME TO THE PLEASUREDOME" 1984 NM original 2 lp. STERLING pressed four sides.
Had to take advantage of that Numero Group vinyl blowout sale, some great deals and lots of variety in albums offered. Loving this label and all of their hidden gems! I got: Niela Miller - Songs Of Leaving Wayfaring Strangers - Lonesome Heroes Wayfaring Strangers - Guitar Soli White Eyes - S/T Hopefully I get lucky with the pressing quality as it's always hit and miss from these guys but they're always really nice about replacing badly warped records.
This is actually my second vinyl copy. It was the first album I purchased when I was 12 or 13 which was given away when I fell for cd's. You'd probably enjoy listening to The Nightfly by Donald Fagen also. It's similar but maybe a bit more optimistic.
The Alan Parsons Project I Robot SPARTY 1012 UK 1st issue Gatefold sleeve in mint condition for just £8 from my great Vintage Vinyl guy, can't wait to get it, FC.
I've just bought on Amazon UK Marketplace The Rolling Stones Vinyl Box Set 1964-1969 (9 Studio Albums, 2 Compilations & 2 12" EPs) in used condition with both vinyl and sleeves/box described as NM from a German seller for just over £42 plus shipping for £7! I couldn't believe the price, the cheapest used box on Discogs is £200+. I thought b@ll@cks to it, I'm covered by my card company plus Amazon's price refund guarantee if this is a rip off. I'll post on here with details of what I'm sent. It's almost worth £49 for the intrigue.
Just traded some stuff to the record store and walked out with Alexander's Timeless Bloozband - For Sale. I dig it, especially the cover art.
