Buying a few albums right now. Just received "Elite Hotel" by Emmylou Harris. It's a Dutch pressing bought used off Amazon, and just great -- better than my Warner/Reprise original ever was. Bought it because I was careless/clumsy and put a big ol' scratch right through about four tracks on one side of my old one. That turned out to be a happy accident. On the way, and again used, is Jennifer Warnes' self-titled album, to fill a gap in my library.
On a jazz kick: Chick Corea - Now He Sings, Now He Sobs (Tone Poet) Herbie Hancock - The Prisoner (Tone Poet) Grant Green - Born to Be Blue (Tone Poet) Charles Lloyd - Forest Flower (Speaker’s Corner)
This was forever on my wish list for years but could never find a copy in decent condition. Just found a sealed original/early pressing of Wanda Jackson's debut LP on Capitol Records. Let's Have A Party
Produced by Tom Petty Released 2016 The Shelters had just banded together when Petty heard them and got a gut feeling about what they could be. He gave The Shelters the keys to his home studio and showed them a few things. Though mostly he left them alone, Petty had enough sense to leave the gear powered up. Maybe they were determined to show him he hadn't made a mistake. Maybe they just liked the way those old tube amps sounded. They seized the moment and got to work, insistent on becoming a band. A real band.
The Sonic Dawn - 'Enter The Mirage'. A nice surprise was that Heavy Psych Sounds also sent a 17 track sampler CD of recent releases on the label.
I've ordered the new LPs from Dua Lipa, Pearl Jam and Soccer Mommy. They'll arrive in the coming days.
As long as record shops are potential corona Hotspots, I'll stick to reexploring my collection of 1.163 pieces of vinyl and even more CDs. Plus money is tight at the dawn of a global pandemic and the following financial markets crash...

I just got a radio station promo of "The Navy Swings" performed by Vince Guaraldi and Bola Sete. I haven't listened to it yet but if I understand correctly, the recordings have never been released to the public before.
The Smiths - Queen is Dead Deluxe box set thingy - decent price on Amazon.de. Ordered wed night and arrived today, which suggests I've spent more time in Germany than this boxset. Last two Paul Weller albums are on their way as well.
I have now spent around £3.4M on vinyl during the lockdown, in a desperate attempt to keep my local indies in business. Today’s hand-delivered goodies; BC Camplight ‘Shortly Before Takeoff’ Brian Eno ‘Here Come The Warm Jets’
