I’m the opposite, I prefer the MoFi over the Classic press, despite the latter being bought sealed. There’s also a tiny skip on Side 2. Not a complete landslide though, which is probably why I still have both.

Don’t get me wrong though, still sounds great given how pricey the MoFi is on the second hand market. I lucked out and paid the same price for both. (£50)

i just ordered these 2 LP's from the same seller in japan. this band("fishmans" has trilogy of "trippy music") from 1996-1997 they released 3 acclaimed albums. I will now own 2 of them on vinyl. however the 2nd one "long season" is usually the most expensive one and most sought out. its their "masterpiece" album. they started out as a reggea/DUB band. they came a long way. The lead vocalist and song writer died in 1999 of a strange heart attack at a young age. who knows what else they could have created. to me its kind of like the flaming lips of japan.

Usually it's the other way around, but who am I to fault your excellent taste. Love this detail from the recording of the song Small Hours -

    From Wiki -

Island Records' mobile recording unit was operated in a courtyard over half a mile away from the main farmhouse. Brown recalled that a typical day's recording would begin at 2pm, occasionally working through to 4 or 5am.[14] At Blackwell's recommendation, microphones were used to record the lapping sounds of the lake and the resident geese,[14] with speakers shipped out onto a punt at the centre of the water, creating what Martyn deemed a unique sound.

I've had most of his albums on CD for eons but I got back into vinyl a year or two ago and have been slowly buying things new and old. I saw Grace & Danger going cheap so grabbed it (new and sealed) and of course had to follow up with my two other favourites by the man, which weren't so cheap....
    No doubt I'll get a couple more.:D

I got the ThinkIndie Blue limited to 1000 of Sonny Rollins - Saxophone Colossus, a little bird told me it was the KG/SH cut. The mastering lines are completely scratched out like other pressings using those stampers so I'm thinking I'm in for a treat this evening

AND this release contains a totally different take of Swinburne Stomp than the one used on ESP.

Madonna - Bedtime Stories 2016 reissue but OOP. Found a copy in a record store still sealed and new. $20.
Also ordered Stone Temple Pilots “Purple” 2013 MOV reissue. These have skyrocketed in price and are OOP. I’m hoping it comes in. I own the Atlantic 2013 reissue and it is not a good sounding pressing. It is very flat. Even the Atlantic copies sell for good money now so I’m hoping I get the MOV copy and then I can unload the Atlantic. Fingers crossed.

I bought mov Purple and Tiny Music in early 2019. Both were under 20€. It surprised me that it’s now sold out and the prices seem to skyrocket. Anyways, i think both of those albums are great pressings with good mastering.
