Sealed, shrinkwrapped record on folkways from 1962. My first real Folkaways album (I got a few Blackthorn albums)!

  2. Monday:

Cheech & Chong: Let's Make a New Dope Deal
Ozark Mountain Daredevils - Don't Look Down
Golden Earring - The Best of Golden Earring (German Import)
Shelly West - West by West
David Frizzell and Shelly West - Carryin' on the Family Names

I bought all five LPs for $8.50. I got the first three for $2.50 each, and I only paid $.50 each for the two country albums.

Bought these a few weeks ago at Listen Up Records in natick MA.

Still need to clean them but they llook very clean and were reasonable. Already had the Mahavishnu IMF album, a favorite of mine, but this copy looks in better shape so could not pass it up

hmmmm, I can't remember exactly...but I haven't bought vinyl since I lived in San Francisco in 1996 and did my vinyl shopping at Amoeba Records in Berkeley. It was at a time when nobody wanted vinyl but me, apparently, so Amoeba was selling all their used vinyl for a couple of bucks.

I do remember getting these on LP:

They're probably (hopefully) at my brother's house. I left my vinyl collection with him when I moved to NYC that year.

Cafe Jacques "Round The Back" feat 'a small unspectacular bearded percussionist by the name of Phil Collins.

Every time I sold stuff on Discogs I made sure I under-graded and made amends if/when necessary, so I was a bit miffed when a NM vinyl turns out to be VG, (then after it was 'Okki Nokki'd' it left a clump of gunk on my precious CA Maestro stylus, which after a lot of suggestions and attempts I think I finally got rid of.)

I should have remembered the crap-shoot that is used vinyl :).

Tom Nehls: I Always Catch The Third Second Of A Yellow Light

2019 2-lp reissue of the 1973 original with a bonus LP of added songs.
It's hard to believe he was only 17 when he recorded the album with his high school friends.
A fantastic songwriter and the musicianship is incredible. Easily my favorite album so far.

A '68 original UK press (Ex) of this gem for about 10 USD in a New Zealand record store - where apparently they have no respect for blues classics, or anything, but my wallet

Ray Coniff and the Singers "Somewhere My Love" album from 1966. I paid $1.00 for it today. (To redeem myself musically, I also bought cds by Prince, Annie Lennox and Simon & Garfunkel at the same time).

Today I bought Alice Cooper's From the Inside in VG condition for $7

Earlier this week I bought Tea for the Tillerman, ELO Eldorado, Melanie's Leftover Win, Styx's Piece of Eight, Still's Manassas and others for $2.50 each in good condition. The Who's Live at Leeds for $6 in VG. Almost pulled the trigger on Blue Cheer's OutsideInside in okay condition for $10, still thinking about it.

A really clean copy of Julie London’s Send for Me. I like that era of jazz vocal but there’s an echo in Julie’s vocals that I could live without.
