Thanks for the report. I like it a lot too. Though perhaps a little short. All good tracks though. I saw them live a few years ago and they were awesome! Had a great live sound.
I do enjoy that one While AiC is my least favorite band of all the "Seattle Four", I'm really happy that Facelift got reissued and I got it. I was following the news since it was announced and had concerns, but thanks to great DR on hi-res decided I should definitely get myself a copy So nice to listen to indeed.
From the latest Target sale. Passion and Anniversary Edition was remastered from the original 1/2" Ampex 456 30ips analog master tapes by Bernie Grundman. (As stated on the back-cover small-print). This is The Friday Music version, and contrary to the blurb about this being a Joe Reagoso remaster, thankfully that is not the case. This is also noted on discogs. Steve Vai – Passion and Warfare (2020, Translucent, Vinyl) Tried editing to post pics from my phone, but they disappear once I hit save changes.
Well......I preordered the new Weezer but who bloody knows when I'll get it. They really bungled this vinyl release. Didn't press nearly enough.
After enjoying The Future Bites I bought Steven Wilson's previous album To The Bone. I had heard all but one song on his live Home Invasion blu ray, but I'm loving the L.P.- which plays at 45 rpm, about 15 mins per side. I'm not a big fan of his portrait covers though - although the TFB cover is part of the album concept. Spoiler Its not him on the cover

The music is great The recording fantastic Did they record that 'live', as a band? Without mixing individual tracks, etc.
Funkadelic - Standing on the Verge. Read recently that this photo was taken in Toronto, apparently not far from me. Just listened to Maggot Brain for the first time in full. You can't listen to everything even in one lifetime. Good to spread it out a little. What a track.... Every bit as mid bending as you've been led to believe. The playing's great, but that fuzz pedal really deserves some of the credit. Great tape delay manipulation, and chord noise. Amazingly simple and effective track that draws you in deeply. Record sounds really great.
Milestones: Miles Davis 1958 U.K Fontana Mono. A replacement for an identical copy which I bought, and broke when cleaning .
i'm pretty obsessed with the series of Patrick Cowley reissues that Dark Entries have done so my last 4 vinyl's are from them.... Dark Entries Records Even though quite simple, the level of detail and love that has gone into these is incredible, just feels really real, from the heart, loving and respectful to the artist whilst being interesting to the end consumer, really taught me a lesson that bigger isn't better, better is better.
