My band will be playing up there this weekend and I will have some time to shop. WHere are the best places to find CDs (used and new) and other goodies?

I don't collect vinyl so please don't ante up vinyl only stores.

    Thanks!

I live in Mississauga and don't get to Toronto as much as I used to for music shopping. But I can recommend two.........Vortex and Sonic Temple.

Check out this website for an extensive list of music stores in Toronto (and many other cities). The customer reviews can be quite informative as well.

You should not have much trouble finding some great stores in Toronto.

Definitely check out Soundscapes (College and Bathurst). Rotate This on Queen St. also has some pretty cool stuff.

I second the HMV superstore on Yonge and Sam the Record Man. Will be there next Friday, in fact. I'll have to try some of the other recommendations...

I usually go to Vintage Sounds on Queen St. just down the
street from Much Music. It is upstairs from a dj/turntable
place....which may or may not be called Kops Kollectables.
They (Vintage Sounds) have a lot of UK pressings.

as mentioned, there's a bunch of used stores along Queen from University to west of Bathurst
there's also a bunch on Bloor, between Spadina and Bathurst
She Said Boom (east of Soundscapes) on College, and Paradise Sound just down the street on Augusta
Yonge Street from about Bloor to College has a ton, too (Monster, Refried Beats, CD Replay, etc.)
