Steve is at a wedding in San Diego this weekend (so I was told).

Tom is probably busy trying to get his website together.

I've certainly noticed a lot less posts and snappy replies. I hope Tom hasn't gotten sick of us and taken his business elsewhere.

I've just been reading a whole lot more than writing :)

I've been busy this past week. Also, aside from these fun music lists and talking about CD-R, nothing of real interest has popped up here lately.

I'm sure you don't mean to invalidate the pages and pages of posts that have been done here lately. You meant to say that nothing of real interest has pooped up lately for YOU, right? ;)

Aside from it's historical meaning in music, why?

    Grant,

Your love of R & B, Soul, Dance Music, etc. from the 60's, 70's and 80's! So many of the big hits of R & B, Soul and Dance Music were issued on Atlantic Records. As you know, I am huge fan of the similar types of music!

    Bob :)

    Re: Atlantic Avatar

Don't forget that Atlantic was also instrumental in bringing British blues and folk music to a wider audience with groups like Eric Clapton, CSN (&Y), Led Zepplin, Iron Butterfly, Buffalo Springfield, and others.

    Grant,

Very true! I have always held an appreciation for Atlantic, pre-Time/Warner.

    Fewer posts? Moi?

Not to worry. I will be my old self soon. I've been taking some new medication that my doctor recommended to keep my blood from boiling and it has caused me to be quite a bit more relaxed and agreeable (and somewhat sleepy) during the day. Need to cut the dosage just a tad. It was also recommended to keep my head from exploding, which was timely, as my computer room resembled the back seat of the car in Pulp Fiction about three times a week. The house cleaners were in revolt and threatened to leave me, so it was either the medication or a moratorium on the forum, and I just can't live without Steve's forum. I'm sure you feel the same way. (If you want to try the pills I've been taking I'm sure I can get you Dr. Robert's number. Cash only; hope that's not a problem.)

On another note, John is right, we are making great progress on the dccblowout.com website. It should be up and running in May for sure. I'm working on the "gift" section right now, where hand painted plaster of paris statues of Steve Hoffman with his arms around Marshall Blonstein and Sam Pasamano will be available at very reasonable prices (having been produced by illegal aliens from the sweat shop I set up in my backroom here at Better Records.) The prototypes are awesome. Steve has final approval, so we're still trying to work out the hair color thing, but once we get that gray/brown blend just right we will be off and running! Stay tuned!

I'm feeling a little sleepy now, so that will have to do for today. Until next time.

    Calmly and dispassionately yours,
    TP

Wow Tom, that medication must be working....only a 2 paragraph response. I actually had time to read the whole reply this time. Keep up the good work and glad to see you're back.
