gregorya I approve of this message

It is interesting, isn't it?.... most experts tend towards the "acid-polka" label though.

Can anyone contribute some real information about this band?

I've never heard their songs before.

What kind of music is it? What are their most famous songs?

Or you could wake up and realize when someone is purposely being a troll in a thread and not engage.

Example, the post above, no clue where on the internet one could hear a sample of Chicago.

Yeah, but what's the fun in that?

And weren't you the first one to 'engage' with the troller, anyway?

I wanted to discuss the music... I'd love to hear your recommendations of songs.

Can you tell me what their most well known songs are?

No problem. Since I had an extra 3 1/2 seconds I figured I could google it and link it for you....

I'm curious. Do you live in the U.S. or are you from the other side of the Atlantic?

They didn't have very many hits overseas it seems --- even in the UK. Actually, the 80s stuff would be more likely to be familiar.

Great sounding box set too. Get the original long box with a very nice booklet.

As I said, I'd rather hear opinions from "real" people. Isn't connecting people the greatest thing about the internet? Asking a computer something is no fun...

I am pretty sure they are an "All American" band kind of thing. There are a few others similar I think - like Grand Funk Railroad. Never heard their stuff until I randomly bought an LP. Can't say I've heard it since. It's sat on my shelf after the first spin.

You asked for their most "well known" songs. That's something a computer can easily tell you and probably better. Ask that question here and in very short order people will start rattling off a bunch on not very-well-known songs that they personally prefer.

Well, here you go then. This is almost certainly their best known song. Or least among the Top 5.

Pretty impressive setlist from last night. They are clearly embracing their roots: Chicago Setlist at Terrace Theatre, Long Beach

I know. They still include a few of the Foster era hits for the people that only know that version of the band, but it is quite a thrill to see the bulk of this playlist in 2017. "Mongonucleosis", "Wake Up Sunshine", "I'm a Man" and the full "Ballet" were nowhere near the set when I caught them just 6 years ago or so
