But knowing what you know now, you'd already know to bring raingear, avoid the brown acid, what sets to skip, etc.
For a whopping $6.50! What still blows me away are the fact that the Stones (among others back then) would play two shows a day....one matinee and an evening show!
Isle of Wight Festival 1970 seemed like a great festival. Jimi Hendrix, The Doors, The Who, Joan Baez, Leonard Cohen, Chicago, John Sebastian, etc. (Also Tony Joe White doing “Polk Salad Annie” with Cozy Powell on the drums!!) What a great venue too. A huge farm with an amazing hillside view. Celebrating its 50th anniversary soon although the anniversary concert was postponed to 2021. Also: Watkins Glen Summer Jam (1973) Another great festival and venue. Grateful Dead, The Band and Allman Brothers Band.

at places like the fillmore east it was common to have an early and late show usually 8 pm and 11:30 pm. of course the late shows usually went longer so it was better if you could make those. I saw zappa at the fillmore for a late show and walked out about 5 am I think.
Another I was at I would like to revisit, specifically for Pink Floyd, doing Atom Heart Mother at 2am in the morning and Led Zeppelin Bath Festival of Blues and Progressive Music - Wikipedia Shepton Mallet, Somerset, England on 27–29 June 1970 Michael Eavis was attendant at the festival and was inspired to hold later that year the first event of what would become the Glastonbury festival of contemporary performing arts.
It's gigs you don't remember right, not ones that you loved and want to see again. There are way more that I don't recall that I am so curious about how they sounded
I notice @hangwire13 etcetera'd the most critical considerations: clean room & board and an hygenic bathroom. Not even for Woodstock, my friend. Plus, in my creeping misanthropic agoraphobia I'd be screaming "social distancing" through my tears by the second day and no would understand. Moreover, if I attempted to the tell the pandemic tale I suspect they'd be less surprised than by the fact the whole kaboodle would sell on little plastic discs for $800 in 50 years.
Elvis, Scotty and Bill at Hobart Arena in Troy, OH Nov. 24, 1956 Ten Years After anywhere, anytime. Django & Stefan anywhere in France in the 30's. Beatles at the Star Club or the Cavern.
