Which Power Tube ?

Off topic... please advise. Got Yaqin MS-30L amp. One of the 6J1 lamps stopped working, only 7 out of 8 work, should I change it? Can I use it with one dead lamp? Thanks

 

Hi All, Well, it's been a while and still no hifi amp, much has happened since last I posted on this thread, although, I have just taken delivery of my custom made Fender Champ clone guitar amp, using the 10" Goodman's ( Made in England ) speaker, circa '58 - '59 at 15 watts and 15 ohms, amp is running 6v6gt in set ( which all came from the salvaged radio console ) with a A & R, mid 1960's Australian built, power transformer ( I found it sitting in one of my Uncle's garage, I got it for free ) as to the hifi amp, I am going to have to play hard ball and force myself to make a decision this week, as it's really now the time to decide and have it made, stay tuned !
