Amazon UK £9.99 - same as the 1st one - would be rude not to :)

A handful of unreleased songs on this so curious about that and why they didn't make the box sets.

I still wonder what is left in regards to Box sets. I know Restless Heart is happening. Are they going to the newer albums? I can't see Into The Light getting the box set treatment. I assume Coverdale/Page is in limbo and not part of Coverdale's contract with Rhino as none of those songs have made these compilations.

Long ago (over a decade) he talked about that getting a re-issue of some sort.

That was long before these boxes started, so I don’t imagine a box for ItL, but a re-issue of some sort would be nice.

An underrated gem in my mind. Probably not possible because of who owns what, but a box with ItL and his first two solo albums would be an immediate pre-order for me.

Yeah a 2CD set at the most. I don't need more than that. His 2 solo albums are under different ownership as well as his 1978-1982 Whitesnake albums.

I love the rock of Don’t Lie to Me, but this is one of the most beautiful songs he’s done:

The blurb says the new tracks are from Into the Light and that hasn’t had an expanded re-release (yet?)

I wish he would put his solo single 'The Last Note of Freedom' on one of these compilations. Such a great song & vocal performance.

I wonder why he wouldn't save those for that re-release. Well it seems like all these reissues are planned out so there is some sort of master plan out there.

My prediction is the Coverdale/Page box will be stellar! Based on the contents David has given us in previous SD Boxes and Jimmy's penchant for that type of thing - we fans will get the motherlode. Problem is - I can't wait that long!

Too bad Jimmy and David missed out on the 25th anniversary in 2018.

Yeah, that's for sure. Or even worse - too bad Jimmy and David missed out on making more music together.:shake:

Wouldn't it be cool if some of the "surprises" David is taunting us with, are some new, contemporary recordings? I can dream, can't I? :)

Thanks a lot for posting part one of the full interview. Lots of interesting info there on the upcoming remix records, the Restless Heart and Coverdale/Page boxes.
Aside from the upcoming boxes, I am really looking forward to the remix of Slip of the Tongue. Some interesting quotes on that:

“but one of the primary things that I did for the 'Slip of the Tongue' album, was where and when I could, I got Adrian Vandenberg [on the new remixes], because he was never featured on the original record because he injured his wrist.
    ....
Not only that, but Chris and I found guitar licks that Steve had done, which, for whatever ****ing reason, we ignored back in '89 whenever we were doing it. So Steve's thrilled! [laughing].”
